i just got what i thought was going to be an htc amaze 4g g22 however specs differ from those around & i wonder what i did get(other than ripped off again). the thing looks authentic with lots of stickers & internal titling, when i run android system info it tells it's amaze 4g with android 4.0.3 8mp rear camera build grk39f dated 2011/11/29 screen res 480x854 1.5ghz 576ram 1g rom (asi lists as 238mb + 443mb)running mt6573. serial no. starts as ht843gnetc & part no. as 99hej092Etc. does any of this seem authenic to anybody?

Number of downloads: 14e] i contacted htc they say amaze not sold in china & don't recognise part no. could you also tell me if there is a web site which reviews chinese mail order sites & gives a listing of any (if there is) trustworthy groups or sellers thx for your interest. sorry about the quality of jpgs as am unable to d/l screen grabber or capture due to play store not functioning but that's another problem even google can't solve.

8mp rear camera? i want a cell phone with such specification. thus i can also take pictures with me phone wherever i am.

Some times you have to be careful of the Chinese knockoffs. So far I have been pretty lucky.
With GPS and Tablets I've had no problems.

Well, we all got "lucky" at some point with these amazing Chinese offers. I strongly believe that the hi-end Chinese products have nothing to fear from their rivals. After all 90% of them are made in China. Next time check the seller's site on: http://www.scamadviser.com/
It should provide you with some data and inform you on how safe is a web site.
Some of the Chinese sellers i used in the past with no problems are: "Chinavasion", "Pandawill" and "madeinchina"
