Probably not, but google market (play) has been temperamental in the past. Although it's my understanding that google is trying to play nice with wanna be tablets that really are not suppose to run market (play) in the first place.

Just thought I'd chime in with some information:

I happen to know for a fact that Play Store works perfectly with the CM7 rom.

So don't be worried

I am unable to get Google Play to install on a WPDN with stock FW, and since I can't post a thread yet. I can't get the information to find out if I need to make alterations, or if I am doing something wrong in the install process.

Will Google Play actually install on WPDN with a stock FW, or am I spitting in the wind until I am able to make alterations?

On mine, when I try to download anything from there, it tells me its not a supported device. So unfortunately I would have to say no. Google Play wont work on tablets running anything 1.5 or below.

I'm running the following and can't get Google Play to work. I believe the cutoff is supposed to be FroYo 2.2:

WPDN 7"
Model_Number: PD_Novel
Firmware Version: SH20_20110302_K_PD_INX7E_ENG_6410POP
Kernel Version: 2.6.29 fsysky@fsysky Mon jan 24 18:22 UTC 2011
Build Number: Slatedroid OPDN 2.1.0

This is Eclair, 2.1.0, right?

Supposedly there's 2.2/FroYo out there for the WPDN, but I can't figure out how to the the Cyanogenmod 6.x to work. It's not a zip and I'm too noobish to figure it out any other way.
