This may end up being a popular product to replace Ainol tablets which appear to be having all sorts of problems in prodution or in achieving high quantities to satisfy demand. Does anyone know if the scripts for root access and market access would work for this particular tablet. The people at Pandawill says the microcode was developed by the same group of people doing the coding for Ainol.

Hi all.

Got ICOO D70W. Not powered after unpack. I plug charger - it's power on, but rebooting every 10 sec (android ico in the middle of screen). I'm sad.

Anyone any ideas? Thanks.

Find reset button. It is inside a pinhole. Stick a needle, paperclip or toothpick in the pinhole. Hit the reset button.

That may work. If it does not, then you will have to flash the tablet with firmware.

Also, sometimes there is button combo you can use to get into recovery mode. You maybe able to restore firmware in there. Not sure what the key combo is. Either 2 or 3 buttons are pressed together and held for couple of seconds.

No reset hole find on this device. Only "mic".

Try to flash with LiveSuit but it's don't see the tablet (I try many many combination of pressed buttons and version of LiveSuite/usb drivers). I have Ainol Elf and it's flash fine with Livesuit.

I read all topics in this section, but any positive results.

Maybe any other advice, guys?

I have made a post with links to how getting in upgrade mode, and you find latest software in my Dropbox. If that don't work, ask for replacement.

Flash it by holding "reset" button instead of "volume". But still looping boot. Plan to try another firmware.

Is there a way to install recovery.img if the tablet flash only through Lifesuite?

Is there any alternative firmware (Ubuntu etc.) for the format of Livesuite (Phoenix)- IMG?
Can I install recovery CWM) through Livesuite (Phoenix)?

Repaired. Disassembled and locked the contacts of the battery (very quickly). Then flashed through Lifesuite.

But another problem. He works from a full charge 20-30 minutes. And heated. I am sure it is a hardware problem. Unfortunately I send it back

Hello,

I have a D70W but managed to tear the ribbon cable of the touch panel. Now I am trying to find a replacement cable or (preferably) a new touch screen, but I could not any spare parts for this tablet. The only touch screen that looks almost the same as my part is for Ainol NOVO7 Advanced/Basic, but I am not sure it will be compatible with mine (it has 2 more capacitive buttons and the size might be different). Has anyone had luck finding (compatible) spare parts for this tablet?
The model number seems to be DPT-L3538A-G (on the panel itself) and the marking on the cable is "DPT GROUP 300-l3537A-A00_VER 1.0
Thanks in advance

EDIT: I contacted OWNTA and the next day they added the replacement touchscreen to their site. - http://www.ownta.com...eplacement.html
I ordered it on 11.05, received it today and just mounted it - works. My ICOO is back in business.
