I'd love to have an annotated guide, just a slightly more than a novice perspective, to the various parts.....what they do not how they do it.

You'll notice there is a harness in the upper left hand corner (with screen facing towards you) that is labeled "com4"

I notice the usb solder points are standard as any out there, I wonder if modifying the outer shell of the case with a dremel and soldering a 4-port hub to the supplied points would work? ummmm... sounds like a weekend project to me. ;)

nope that metal plate is part of that grayish plastic assembly. The weight is coming from the battery and screen.

I the glass screen user replaceable?

Great Pics...now if I get tired of any WIFI issues, I know where to hack into it and boost the antenna like I did for my Laptop! Great Job!

I had to get too up close and personal with the innards of mine when my wife put a bottle of soda - with a loose cap - and the tablet in the same bag at work. Took it all apart, wiped everything down, let it dry and charge and voila! the tough lil puppy sprang back to life! Surprised the &**^ out of me. So, now to get this thing up to full potential by getting to the downloads. *grin*
