MAJOR FYI:
This firmware is known to contain a bug that causes the screen to be dim/darkly lit after it has been a sleep for a little while.
It will not harm your tablet, but will require to reboot to "fix" it anytime it happens.

PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK! (as always)

Hey there everyone... been a while since I downloaded a firmware etc... but anyways.

I have download this one from the two links provided by: opmaroon - THANKS!

I combined the two files... then extracted the contents.... then extracted the two .RAR files that were in there.
Then I translated all of the chinese and garblyguk so that all files are in a nice orderly fashion.
I also replaced the existing Livesuite files with an english version.
I then repacked everything to a single .RAR file.

I have uploaded that file to AndroidTabletFirmware.com - thanks MP4!
- I have also flashed my own device to verify that it all works.

Here is the link: AndroidTabletFirmware.com - AinolNovo7Aurora-0307-ICS-4.0.3.rar

I also want to add that from reading on the IMP3, this new stock firmware is designed to fix the battery draining while standby issue and they suggest people NOT to update it unless you want to test.

I got "unexpected end of archive" when downloading (after 210MB and second time after 190MB) and then when unpacking, so I'm unable to try it.

Edit: never mind I made it .

Skype works on the "TopNotchTablet" ROM 2.3.4. The resolution is very bad though.

after using the rom for about 2 days, i managed to 'capture' some bugs.....

1.the marker aka google play - when installing apps, the confirmation pop-ups always flickering and sometimes just missing. need to use finger and press on the glass to press the missing button.

2. when using the aurora, sometimes the display just went dark. pressing the power switch also didn't bring it up again. need to press the power switch long enough to shutdown and reboot.

3. the "the screen to be dim/darkly lit after it has been a sleep for a little while" bug.....

4. when using usb to charge, the display will shake and flickers.

want to downgrade to previous rom, which version actually better to use? the 2.3.4 or 4.0.3v0.9?

Does anyone know how I can get a tun module for the Ainol Aurora Kernel? I would like to be able to use OpenVPN to connect to my home network with the Aurora. If anyone knows where I can find instructions on compiling my own kernel for the Aurora I would be greatful. I would try my hand at compiling my own tun module.
Tablets owned: HeroTab C8, Ainol Fire (QM Model)
