[Tablet_Collector]

This is a clone of the Ampe A90 and firmwares for both tablets are interchangeable. I have the black OEM version of the Sanei N90 which is identical to the non-OEM version apart from not having Sanei logos on the case.

The tablet features an Allwinner A10 CPU and Mali 400 GPU, 1Gb RAM and 16Gb Flash, 1024 x 768 IPS screen, bluetooth, HDMI out, front (0.3 mp) and rear (2mp) cameras.

Market Fix
To see all available apps on the market try editing build.prop (see first post on Babis's Ampe A90 thread.

This didn't work for me. I use this fix instead (credits to Pas).

1. Go to settings->apps->all and tap Google Framework, Click on stop and then Clear data

2. Go to settings->apps->all and tap Google Play, Click on stop and then Clear cache (not data)

3. Go to ES file explorer, and enable root explorer and enable mount file system in the settings

4. Backup with ES file explorer /system/etc/permissions (copy to your tf card or usb device )

5. Extract the attached zip Attachment file xmlfiles and copy its content (4 files) in /system/etc/permissions

6. Reboot tablet

7. Open market


If you find that bluetooth disappears from settings after doing this then this suggestion from jkrestes might help.

It will give you all originals plus 2 extras from from ones you have downloaded in step 5. REBOOT and you should still have full market access and you bluetooth will appear back in settings :-)
By the way - I am using latest update 1.1 for my S90 but as hard as I tried I was not successful with transfering files to S90...always few percents and then gone (using my Galaxy S2). I was able to transfer files FROM tablet

Wi-Fi Problems?
If you have slow wi-fi speed then others on this thread have reported that setting their router wi-fi speed to run at 802.11n solved the problem.

Occasional Screen Flicker on v1.1 firmware
If you have very occasional screen flicker on v1.1 firmware with GPU acceleration turned on (for me it happened maybe 1 minute in 10 hours) then either turn off GPU accel or use a different laucher such as Apex or Nova.

From what I can see is the difference between the Sanei N90 and Ampe A90 is the fact taht Sanei has bluetooth and Ampe does not. I would really like a tablet with bluetooth, considering many of them do not have it.

I think Ampe & Sanei are brand names under one manufacturer. Both their websites have prefix "sz". And design & everything is exactly same. Therefore price will also be similar at most places.
As I liked Ampe A90; therefore Sanei also has to be good.

Sounds like someone is trying to sell u OEM version of the tablet.
Ampe A90 should come with logo & stuff without any problem i feel, otherwise how can u tell it's from a particular brand.

I don't want someone to blame me later that they cancelled their order because I said so. All I'm saying is that it sounds like an OEM version of the tablet & u might have problems later installing custom roms or even official rom updates as many other OEM tablets face such problem.
Cancelling order is solely ur decision.
If I was on ur place and someone said that my product will not have a single place written what brand I'm buying, I would try to look some place else where they assure me they're selling me what I see in pictures & videos.

Thank you for your opinion. I asked the seller to send me photo of my tablet. It has Sanei logos on its box (see the attached image). I hope this means it will be upgradeable with Sanei softwares.

Well I finally ordered a Sanei N90 and it has shipped already!

Downloading the 1.1 firmware now although it is very slow. Does anyone have a mirror?

Also, I wondered whether the Ampe and Sanei f/w are interchangeable?
The tablets do seem to be identical. Has anyone tried Ampe f/w on a Sanei or vice versa?

Unless someone has already done it I will provide some benchmarks when I receive the tablet.
I expect (hope) these will be the same as the Ampe

While I think of it can Babis666 or anyone else point me to a good English guide for updating the firmware?

I found this on TabletRepublic - would this work ok on Sanei N90? Seems quite straightforward.

Also does the info there on installing Google Play and Gapps work for the Sanei/Ampe?
