Once again will someone please mirror this for me

OFW 4.0.3 baseband 7

It does have bugs, but i am going to test tonight,
EDIT:
First impressions are very nice:
1. Live Wallpapers work.
2. Sound,Rotation,Very strong wifi
3. Camera works
4. No screen drift[yet]
5. Pre-installed Market, strong application availability, no need for build.prop change
6. SD mount/remount works
7. Pre-Rooted

The only 2 complaints are
1. boot animation same as original[says 2.3, we are on 4.0.3 lol!!!]
2. unable to write to ext-sd which is a common prob with ICS.

Ive heard nightmares about this version, BUT so far its a dream. Doing a restore now and am impressed with the amount of progress the factory has made.

Okay, so I'm probably just being an idiot, but how do I flash this? I tried installing LiveSuite but it didn't seem to help. I can't install Clockwork Recovery, either. I'm kind of at a standstill. I just got my G2 and I really want to upgrade it to ICS, but I can't find any instructions whatsoever about how to flash the device. Can you please point me to the thread I missed where that got explained?

Thanks in advance!

@spaceheeder,

need more info, but if you look in the Gemei G2 forum, your answers are there.
What OS do you use on your PC?
32 or 64 bit?
You are probably missing the usb drivers for your tablet. I think a link is provided in one of the threads.

Once you DL the 4.0.3 file, unzip, then rename the file folder and the file[something easy like version 1]
start live suite, choose the renamed file
plug usb cable to compu
hold vol +, insert usb cable in tab
press power button 10 times, or until box pops up on scren asking you to format or not.
stop toggle on power button
choose format, the rest is automatic, put the tab down and watch the timer[2 mins or so]
when finished a pop up with an exclamation point will appear.
disconnect usb[safely, via your status bar on pc.
restart machine if it didnt by itself[sometimes it will restart automatically for you]

enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most games arent working, the base, angry birds is fine.
All in all its nice, currently ICS performance could be better, but Im having a crash-free test and that makes me happy.

Flash not working by the way
Hdmi not tested, nor ext-3g or bt

@thaigirl99

Thanks, that really helped!

To clarify for everyone else I was using Windows 7 x64. I installed the ADB drivers with PDANet, because it was simply easier that way. Also, the tablet needed to be off before holding the vol+ button and plugging in the USB. Other than that, flashing the image went off without a hitch. Still wish there was some way to get CWM working, though. Apparently CM9 is being ported to A10 devices :)

Well, now my review about the new beta.

Stability - Still bad, alot of crashes, when enter in some menus like config it exit after some seconds the same with some aplications, sometimes reboot.
Compatibility with apps - Most apps i'v tried run fine, if you don't mind that some of those close after aprox. 10 seconds, tested games like Spider Man HD and Gangstar MV and everything Run fine.
HDMI output - Works fine.
Rotation - Fine.

So, for me with the constants crashes, still bad, but alot of progress since the last beta, now waiting for the final version... anyone knows if there's any ETA for the final release?

@Amon

I have had no crashes since installing and I OCed to 1.2.
Its amazing how different user find different results on firmware.

Playing
PF2012 as I type with no apparent problems.

And besides not being able to write to ext-sd and no flash, im happy as a pig in $%^&^&*
I did a build.prop change to SGS2, for better market access.

Love the Black hole live wallpaper!!!!

Oh 1 complaint, status bar stays on a lot of applications/games, when it shouldnt.

I don't know what hell is going on, any firmware that i flash is unstable...first i think that is a physical problem with the tablet, but it arrived working and just started crashing after my first flash, i tried everything, "format flashing", "factory reset" and none of those thing helped me...
I really don't know what i do.
I noticed the problem on status bar too

Yes, I flashed it.

Android version: 2.3.4
Baseband: 10.1
Kernel: 2.6.36

AnTuTu benchmark scores over 3300

It's very stable (even with 1.2 Ghz overclock)
For now no bug, but Wifi sometimes freeze

maybe I solved the problem by editing the build.prop file
I edited wifi.supplicant_scan_interval from the value of 15 to the value of 90
And now it seems to work properly...

I'm not sure
With my gemei g2 on this firmware i have no sound in speaker. Possible some gemei g2 have different hardware :(
