Is it just me or does the pad have problems with the SD card slot... everytime i turn on my pad, i have to unmount and remount the card for it to read the programs. I'm using the C71 with the December ROM for GB on the 1F type pad. It's rather irritating. Card is a Transcend 16GB Class 4.


Edited: Btw, i've already formatted the thing 3 times using FAT32 and the default allocation for it.

Could be the card itself. I bought a 32GB class 10 and have had no issues.

I purchased a class 4 16 gig card from microcenter and had the same problems. Come to find out the card was bad. I then got a 16 gig class 10 and have been ok ever since

Same... what i did when it got really bad was a micro sd reader and stuck it in the micro sub to normal usb adaptor.. now ive gne bak to the slot and just play less games... so as to nt dissappoint myself by having to force close mid game and also unknowingly not have game data saved

Thanks for all the feedback... looks like the slot is rather sensitive then. I'll have to get myself another card... Class 10 it is!

Same problem here. I've got a 8Gb Class 4 SanDisk MicroSD which needs to be reseated all the time to get it working.

Will try a Class 10 next.

with a class 10 pny 16GB sd card I only get 3MB write speed, what are you guys getting.

Guys... it's odd but i just upgraded my firmware to the latest ICS (20120213) and it solved the memory problem. At least i have not encountered problems so far - 1 1/2 days running. It usually happens when i turn the C71 on. But so far, i done it many many many times and have not experienced the problem.

I've got a new problem though... i'll discuss it in another thread...

I've finally gotten my C10 16GB card and extremely happy with the performance of the card... no issues to software failure and sudden stops/reboots anymore! It's finally stable!!!

Does a class 6 run smoothly? Cause if it does i have one laying around in my smart phone and ill just do a trade between my tab and phone.
