I just bricked my Aurora while updating the firmware. Right now I cant turn it on. When I connect to my PC it's not recognised. Tried reinstalling PDA Net USB driver but since I cant turn on my Aurora - it cant detect it.

There is no "reset" hole on the Aurora. Anyone can help on how to revive my bricked aurora? Thank you

I'm not too sure about this so don't quote me on it, but I think there might be a reset button in the mic hole.

Well, according to this article anyway

http://www.slatedroi...ents-internals/

"The mic's placement is weird, but I'm glad they kept the reboot button there."

Hopefully someone more experienced will come in here and give you more advice.

Just hold the power button for more than 30seconds and do the firmware upgrading again...

I've been there several times on my Novo7 Advanced before. and right now, I've only experienced it onced on my Novo7 Aurora.,

Thanks Ivanz! I tried your suggestion and it worked. I bricked it by unplugging the usb cable from the PC to my Aurora when the Live update software was not responding.

Looking for another suggestion. I am a true "newbie" and I held the power button down for the 30 seconds but I still can't get past the *ainol boot screen. Is there anything else I can do to get my tablet working again. My problem started after I ran lordsbm so not sure what happened. Any help would be so appreciated.

Best bet is to create a new topic with a new heading specific to your problem. Then post everything that you did to get you to where you are now.

I am also a new-b in this forum - same as 'advritz' - so we can't really POST a new topic with a specific heading until 'WE REPLY' 3 - times to a post(s) and a MODERATOR has to approve it - isn't that right? or am I interpreting the rules in-correctly? please excuse my 'new-b-ness'.

With that in mind, I also have the same problem as he/she does - my ainol novo aurora is stuck in the infinite boot screen (e.g. - the Ainol start up anime with lights)after I ran 'lordsbm' script to install Android Market. I suppose I should have research some more, since didn't know that 'lordsbm' script was for allwinner a10 slates that had ICS 4.0.1. Mine came with 4.0.3 already installed.

How can you get past the 'infinite boot loop' if you can't access your device -

Any of you 'Sages' got suggestions for us?

Say..I followed instructions here - http://www.slatedroi...v05-for-aurora/

worked for me - Android Market working and all those Chinese apps deleted. Download the Android 4.0.3 v0.5 link. Read the Installation line. You must use LiveSuit V1.07. And basically follow the instructions.

Thanks to 'Android-Kun'

Same situation here as well. I've tried livesuit and I get the device showing in device manager but livesuit just pops up a window with an exclamtion mark and an OK button. Can't seem to get any further. All help greatfuly apreciated.

Yes, I'm another newbie!
I too seem to have bricked my Aurora in the same way after running "ainol_lordsbm_script_for_ics0.131". It won't go past the infinite boot loop, ie, the flashing lights. Strangely it also starts booting when the usb is connectected to the PC, but with same result. I tried holding the power button for 30 secs to reset, again with no luck. I found a hole between the microSD and mini HDMI slots that may be a reset button and tried to reset thru that too.
I had unsuccessfully tried installing a rom with "livesuit" a week or so ago without luck. I had rooted it with "Tasselhof-RootScript" which worked. I had Android Market access and successfully used it to read ebooks, play moves, games and surf the web. Only prob was that ICS needed an upgrade to tweak it.
So it was when I retried to start the rom upgrade process with "lordsbm script" that I really stuffed it up.
Please, please help me to unbrick it.

Just a thought; Is there an executable rom that could be auto-booted from the microSD card or USB stick to unbrick the Aurora?

I had the same issue, and a "bricked" aurora...

My advice : get that pdf file and follow exactly what they say !

the step "6. As soon as you connect the USB Cable to PC, rapidly press the Power button 5 times without releasing the Back button." is a bit tricky as it might take a while (30-45 secs) for livesuit to realize what is going on... DO NOT RELEASE THE BACK BUTTON ! (also try to press the power button 6x instead of 5x if it doesn't work after a few attempts)

I unbricked the tablet with that method by flashing the official "SC3017_novo7fc-e3_0301.img" firmware onto it !

I managed to unbrick mine by installing CWM http://www.slatedroi...k-mod-recovery/
From here I then cleared Davlik cache and User data and flashed clean rom v9 from external SDCard

Thanks, but I am unable to access anything on my bricked aurora so I really don't understand how I can run the CWM scripts. Before I bricked it,I had been unable to successfully run Livesuit and now the Aurora tries to boot as soon as the usb is attached to the PC and goes into that endless boot cycle. My drivers seem OK as I had sucessfully run Tasselhof-RootScript. I've held the buttons down for 30secs, too. Is there another way to flash a rom? eg, an auto-boot or executable file on the microSD or USB stick?
I know my troubles are mainly self-inflicted, but I really don't understand what I can do if I can't gain access to it. Sorry to sound like an idiot.

That is correct.

However, if you don't take the time to post 3 posts and wait to have them approved (usually within minutes) then it is hard to expect people to take time and help you with your issue. Honestly, it is kinda rude. I know you want a quick answer to fix your problem, but there are live people helping, not bots.

Unzip the scripts to your PC and run them with the device plugged in, you don't run anything on the device directly
edit: realised there are multiple cwm threads, this is the one I used http://www.slatedroi...icialy-working/

Thanks Markf74, this is a great help. I think I'll get there.
Using ClockworkMod_Recovery_EN_2012_03_08 and holding the buttons, the machine booted to the recovery window with the 6 options;
-reboot system now
-instal zip from sd card
-wipe data/factory reset
-wipe cache partion
-backup and restore
-mounts and storage
-advanced
I ran the "reboot system now" cmd but it still goes into an endless boot cycle. Have I run the wrong cmd? Do I run the cmd with the USB still connected? At this stage, I would be happy just to take it back to "factory reset".
If I can't get it soon, it's OK as I'll take it to my son this weekend and he should be able to sort it for me and see where my "senior's moments" have led me,
Many thanks
