Has anyone been scammed when buying from a Chineese seller? I was recently scammed by a company called "Yotokey" website looked legit, had online web chat, which I used, sent me a tracking number and thed dissappeared. Have put it down to an expensive learning experience. Alarm bells should have been ringing when I paid by bank transfer but the website was very convincing.

Always pay PayPal ONLY. That way you can dispute the transaction and PayPal requires the SELLER to provide proof of delivery.

have to agree with the Admin, been at this a long time, have seen many people scammed by fly by night company
Always use paypal , we also have recommended sites that we recommend not because they are sponsors but but because we know they can deliver

I currently live in China.
Criminals, and some enterprising students, are able to set up a website, chat and other convincing attributes, maybe even send a couple to be seen as legit, then wait for the money to roll in.
Personally, even locally, I only buy from retailers listed on the website of the manufacturer unless it's low-value and won't need support.
I would *never* trust a Chinese seller unless you have a way of getting your money back if goods are not as advertised etc. etc.
It's such a big country, with so many rules broken and crime overlooked if one has the right "connections", that, as usual, the majority are ruined by the minority. Unfortunately, and it's hard to get my head around it myself, with 1.4Bn people, the criminal "minority" here is still a vast number of people.

I feel your pain. I actually RECEIVED my Innovatek InnoPad 10. After a week it died and customer service at MP3PlayerStore was terrible. They made me all sorts of promises over the 30 day warranty (new ROM...etc), and now they will not help me at all saying I was "lucky" to get any support for this device since they distributed it to XSCargo in Canada which has no tech support on these units.
mp3playerstore = scammers...period.
Save your money and sanity.
