I bricked my Coby Kyros MID 7022 while I was trying to Flash an img file to it , now it is dead and not respond to any button pressing or any combination of button pressing to start FWDN mode or any other mode.If any one got any solution for this problem I'll be appreciated very much.

migo, do you live in Los Angeles?

If so, then I talked to one of your friends [lives on berendo st] about you and possibly saving it.

If so id be happy to look into it. did you copy the file to the internal srive? did you use c8/dropad software? you need to elaborate on what file you used and how you did it. Try plugging your usb into a computer then press every button/ combination you can. If the computer recognises it then you probably have a soft brick. if you used the wrong bootloader, then theres a good chance its toast and returning it may be the easist option.

Dear Sir
Thanks very much for ur help, actually I'm not form L.A.
My tablet went through many phases until it got bricked. First It was seen by computer but FWDN wasn't unable to see NAND because I was using unsuitable lk.rom , finally I found the appropriate lk.rom and the FWDN can see the NAND but unfortunately I tried to flash an img file which was downloaded with the appropriate lk.rom in one zip file thinking that it will be suitable for my device but after ending flashing the img file I found the only response that I got when I connected the USB cable to the computer and holding down power button and pressing reset, the computer starts to sense the connection by playing dinging sound but he can't recognize the driver and shows in the device manager the tablet as USB mass storage device with a black exclamation mark inside yellow triangle, although I'm quit sure that the driver is installed an working good and when I remove my finger from power button the connection was lost, for FWDN there was no response in the whole process. the img file which I flashed it was m801_mtd.img.
Best Regards

That my friend, is a soft brick, as l,ong as the cpu sees something, your tab is saveable. check the ccoby thread for soft brick revival, and if you cant find it there, check the herotab c8 section for guidelines as your machine and ours[c8] uses the same firmware with different bootloader.
and if i am correct, you never flash using your internal card or nand, its done by writing to an ext-ds, then inserting the card holding menu, then press power until process starts.

I searched but I can't find any thing useful maybe because of the tablet is still new and there is no technical support for it. Any way I'm waiting to get any trials
best regards

I know I'm about six months late but I do live in LA, San Fernando Valley to be exact. Although I have a 7022 I would like to un-brick it.
Can you help?
