I've been searching for a good small Android tablet for quite a while. I almost went with the Kindle Fire, but it didnt have video out. I almost bought the new Sony one, but it was pricey and also didnt have video out! I used to like to hookup my laptop to the TV to watch HBO Go and Netflix on the bigger screen, but my laptop is old and has finally died. Its amazing how many tablets out there do not have video out. With this Alpha2, though, i get a full functioning Android (unlike the Fire), where i can watch my apps on the TV, for $130. That is an amazing deal. I also liked to hookup the laptop to my stereo and play Rhapsody while having friends over. This tablet should be able to do the same without the waiting of firing up a laptop, it will be perfect for me.
The more research I do the more i see that Skytex is getting great reviews as a company and the Alpha2 great reviews as a sub $200 tablet. Thanks for the great deal!

Has anyone here tried running HBO GO on the Alpha or Alpha2, either by downloading the HBO GO app from the Android Market (it doesn't seem to be available on 1market) or by accessing hbogo.com through the browser (which I assume will require flash)? Or would anyone be willing to try this for me? You don't need an HBO Go account, as they will let you watch previews without an account.

This video includes a clip of HBO go in action, specifically streaming Beneath the Planet of the Apes. If you like HBO GO, don't update to 4.0 until HBO makes their app compatible with it.

I tried HBO go from the website. It works but obviously it is not setup for mobile streaming. I am currently testing the new performance mod on my pad so I can;t get the app and try it, later this evening probably.

Groupon shows it as "redeemed", Beach Camera doesn't even have the order in their system yet (their customer service department told me that it takes them 7 days just to get the Groupon order into their system).
Sorry for the whining ...

That stinks. I just saw a deal for a refurb Nook Color for 130.00 too. I imagine we wont get our tablets until early March then?
