I've install on my Aurora - ICS 4.0.3, and Almaz's market fix. My tablet is rooted, I can access Super User. No busybox installed. When I insert an external 8GB SD card, the notification say SD Card is mounted and I can browse the external SD card's content in File Mananger or ES file explorer. However, when I use quick pic, it doesnt detect my external SD card or show the photos on it. using aldiko reader, it too cannot see the epub books I have on the external SD card.

Anyone having the same problem? Is there a fix? I want to see if its a known ICS 4.0.3 bug on the Aurora before I reinstall the 4.0.3 rom. Thanks.

if it is external, that might be the issue... some apps may not be developed to detect data on external devices... I am reading that you have a full sized SD card which you have connected via USB correct? If you mean external by just microSD inserted in the slot, I have no idea :(

Just to be sure, are you looking for the external sdcard in the folder /mnt/extsd?

/sdcard folder is actually the internal 8gb storage built in your tablet

I think I have the same problem...

When I insert any microSD card in my Aurora (I have 4, 8 and 16Gb microSD cards), the device is not detecting any of them.

Also, the File Manager show an empty folder for the "/mnt/extsd"

And in "Settings", "Storage", under "EXTSD" it tells me "Insert an SD card for mounting".

I've flashed the firmware 4.0.3 multiple times but I still have the same problem.

I know my microSD cards are correctly formated and working because they mount and work fine in my other Novo 7 tablet (Novo 7 Elf).

When I received my Aurora (16Gb model), the first thing I did is to upgrade the Firmware to 4.0.3, so I don't know if it's the same situation with 4.0.1

(I'm french so sorry for my "not so good" english...) :pardon:

Is there a /mnt/emmc directory? If so, check there for the files on your microSD.

I think the problem is I didn't point the apps to the external micro SD Card. I checked quick pic and aldiko reader again, there is an otion to select directory to scan for pictures, books. I chose /mnt/extsd and now its ok- Qick pic can now see new picture files on my external micro SD card.

No, I don't have a /mnt/emmc folder... I checked in the other folders under /mnt (asec, obb, secure, usbhost1) with no luck.

I think I have a defective tablet...

odd that you don't see a /mnt/extsd. it sounds like the card is not being mounted because that directory does not exist. if you had either root explorer or terminal emulator to create an extsd folder i'm curious if that might fix the reason why your sd card is not being mounted

That was Odd... I double checked and the the extsd folder was really not there.

I could have just create the folder, but to be sure, I reflashed the firware and I got the extsd folder back but still no microSD detection with any of my cards.

Anyhow, thanks for pointing that out. That could have been the problem.

I sent an eMail to the supplier one week ago about this problem, but I'm still waiting for an answer from them... Hoping they will not let me down. :(

I have an 8gb Aurora running 4.0.1 that was updated using the tasselhof and lord... scripts. All is working fine except...

It is apparently not recognizing the microSD card inserted in the slot. I bought a 8 GB Micro SD SDHC Memory Card TF. My phone (Pantech) recognizes and formats the card.

When I go to Settings:Storage, nothing appears where I would expect an SD card with 8GB capacity to appear.

When I insert the card, there is no message of any kind.

Does the card I bought meet whatever specs the Aurora requires?

Can someone walk a newbie through where to look for the card (if it is present)? I tried File Manager and ES File Explorer. They didn't show anything obvious.

added 2/20/12
Can anyone verify that their Aurora properly recognizes an SD card used in the SD card slot?

The updated ROM has not resolved the issue. What was the 0.8 update you spoke of?

I've no problems seeing my sd card. It's not on the usual directory though. The sdcard directory is used by the internal memory whereas my sd card is shown in the /mnt/extsd directory.
Does this help anyone?
