since we're talking about screen protectors....
the camera on my aurora is really dark even with the brightness level at max.
is the screen protector really to blame here?

You could buy a screen protector for a bigger device and cut the layout of the aurora out. I will probably end up doing this.

Hey brotherlouie, I bought my aurora with a screen protector installed and I found it very dark as well.

A guy here on this forum said that this tablet's camera performs pretty badly in low light perfomance, and he doesn't even have a screen protector installed! He said he can only use it in bright rooms..... Kinda sucks, because all the rooms in my apartment are pretty dark. :(

I prefer to buy it from a seller in my city (not in the net), like that you can ask for 7 inch screen protector and you can try many types of screen protectors (whitout using them of course) when you find the best protector for your screen than buy !

got a new screen protector for my aurora....the matte kind. feels better and alot more responsive. less fingerprint and that oily feeling too. the lady who installed my new screen protector says that the camera should never be covered. so she punched a hole for the camera. photos come out really brighter now. still not so good on low light surroundings, but its hella better than before

Hi, first post here, but have been over on the other forums till now. Are you sure this was a screen protector and not the original factory fitted screen protector. I took mine straight off, its more for travel protection than anything else.
I received one in the box with my Aurora from Spemall.com. Wasn't sure if this was normal but i guess it was a "freebee"

Sid

Sorry, replied to the wrong person.. i think you get what I mean though....

Id suggest getting a better protector and handle the device a bit more carefully then :p
My phone has had a protector for almost a year now, theres not a single scratch on it. And my Basic still has the factory protection on with nothing but fingerprints on it :p

I'm not using a screen protector. IMO it's like putting one on an iPad? The screen definitely feels like glass so I'm guessing it's toughened or gorilla glass. Very tough.

Yeah its pretty close fit, width is spot on the height is a little less so a few mm top and bottom of the screen is exposed, the ones I got had a cut out for the Samsung camera so is a small hole on one side.

You mean that a bit of the bottom of the panel is not covered, right?
Can you post a pic if possible ? That way, I can also go & buy screen protector then.
Because the one I got from Pandawill is actually bigger than Aurora display itself. lol. And I can't mess with cutting it out to fit etc. as it will get dirty with dust etc. in the process, thus becoming unsuable. It's already useless.
And I don't want to keep using the device without screen protector as it doesn't look like it's a scratch-proof screen. We can't expect such thing in such price afterall. Plus screen protector will protect it from any dust too hopefully.

Why will cutting the screen protector make it dusty? Doesn't it have backing paper on the sticky side? I've ordered iPad screen protectors that I'm hoping to cut down - a first-gen iPad protector should just about make 2 for the Aurora with just a slight gap round the edges.

Hey, do you have any kind of problem like : Split bright, dead pixel, dust under screen, gap between back cover, loose fit button etc? I have heard from slatedroid(dot)com , that many people facing those problems. I have already ordered one pc for me! Now I am in big tension!!
