Help
Today when I booted up my MID816R2 tablet, the screen colors were all wrong. The boot message text was magenta instead of white, and the splash screen and the GUI were all wrong as well. To illustrate, a picture of the screen (taken with my HTC phone). A bit out of focus, but you'll get the idea:
The errors seem to follow objects on the desktop, not in one spot, so it's not some local damage to the screen. But it doesn't go away, even after rebooting a few times.
Any ideas on what's causing this? Some hardware failure? Or is this a software thing, and do I need to reflash the OS? Suggestions?
P.S. Can temperatures have anything to do with it? This morning it was fine, but then I took it with me (went to the FOSDEM conference) and I had to wait some time outside in freezing temperatures. About the only data point re "things going differently" I can think of.
