Top1 posted the link earlier today in the "[Firmware] - Ramos W6HD - Firmware Update - 12-28-2011 - ICS 4.0" forum. It's http://dl.dbank.com/c0a6g1lex1. Top1 said it works great for him, but please let us know how it works for you. Good luck.

Thanks, that helped a lot.

Now i have another problem, i maneged to finde the LatinIME.apk and LatinIME.odex from the original firm that has the spanish keyboard ( the original that they set and is by far the best i've seen )but when i install it i get an error. I have tryed copying it to the app folder in the system directory.

Thoy you have another idea of how to install it?

thanks for your time.

Same here - very good firmware. Before my w6hd was crashing often when connected to usb. Its also rooted and comes with android market. About the chinese pinyin keyboard - before using titanium backup to uninstall it first go to android market and download keyboard that you will like/use. After that you can uninstall pinyin keyboard.
Another plus for 20120202 - at least for me battery has longer life /around 1 hour/ than the original/stock firm /if i remember right mine was something like 20111229/

In my opinion 20120202 is worth it - crashing fixed, rooted, comes with market, longer battery life /at least for mine w6hd/. I was reading again and again every info that i was able to find before doing this update - wondering between original and custom, wondering between different versions. Well, now i am happy with it and i don't think that i will do another update soon.

Are there instructions on how to update the firmware? I think I want the new 20120202 firmware. Is it true that it gives you a 1gig for apps? I want to be as sure as possible not to brick the thing. Is there anything I should know or check before I update? I believe I have 20120112 firmware. Thanks in advance. Sorry for the nooB questions.

Can anyone tell me if you can get all apps from android market on this ROM?
Eg, can you find the Google Gmail app? How about the Chrome Beta app?

Cheers,

Do you mean 20120202 by SunDream or 20120203 from official Website? 20120202 doesn't come with 1Gb Available system. Its The Official One. Just download and extract. Copy all the 5 files from the very last directory to \sdcard\ (without directory). Shut your ramos down. Press and hold Power button + M button and The green Droid appear. It will automatically flash your Ramos, and will self restart.

Here's my experience from both of Firmware:
Sundream 20120202:
Adv: Already root, have market, and some of essential app like Es file Explorer and widget.
Disadv: I miss stock file browser which good for browse between Internal memory and SDCARD. Sometime really drain battery although nothing running app.

Official 20120203:
Adv: Smooth, more app friendly (from Crash), Longer battery use.
Disadv: You'll need to root, and install the market by yourself.

I have installed Sundream 20120115 rom.
20120115 consumes battery a lot.

Can I upgrade to official rom?
