In addition to the IPS display that the Aurora has, the Aurora is also available with 16GB of flash memory, if the 8GB version isn't enough to satisfy you.

*EDIT - Moments after my reply, I discover that the Elf is also available in a 16GB model. So, IPS is left as the big feature difference.

Go with Elf screen to be sure it works for you.

Aurora screen may or may not fit but also the touchscreen controller maybe different between these tablets. So, even if the screen fits into Elf, it may not work.

The Aurora is slimmer, it may not be much, but it feels much slimmer and tighter, than the elf.
The Aurora is also slimmer than the soon to be released Samsung galaxy tab2, a dualcore 1Ghz "7 tablet.
The price in my country is the double for the galaxy tab2 even without 3g. Easy choice :)
The Aurora is also lighter 325grams vs galaxytab2 341grams
The Ips screen an the way it feels in my hand(s) makes the Aurora the best "7 tablet i've tried.
