Hello/ I just find this on Aibol facebook page:
We are launching new products in April. Hint: Dual core!
Looks like there will be new dual core tablets from Ainol in April and it's (or some of) will have IPS screen. I'm not sure are they talking about new Aurora that is expected in April with LG IPS screen and probably would have new dual core CPU. Or a whole new branch of tablets. Maybe will be a good idea to waith for those new Ainol product. Or we'll see another fiasco, like current branch announced early January and still only problems and troubles. I am not sure it is a good idea to plan new models if they can't handle the old ones yet.

I'm seeing about 4.0 - 4.5 hours web browsing + other assorted games and apps, with wifi on and screen at about 80% brightness.
Firmware is as it came from Gadgetfreakz, which I believe is android-kun's. I'm not running any CPU-tuning apps.

I greatly appreciate the feedback. I've seen Mr. Tasslehof's benchmark results and the Aurora had 19% left after 3 hours 21 minutes @ 100% brightness, 100% CPU and wifi on. I don't know if the GPU is also at 100% because the GPU can actually impact battery life more than the CPU and wifi combined. If the GPU was indeed at 100% during Mr. Tasselhof's benchmark, it's relatively good battery life indeed. I know the iPad 2 lasts from 100% to 0% (no more batt) in a little over 5 hours with 100% brightness, 100% CPU and GPU, wifi on.

But your account reflects real world performance. If it's only 4 to 4 1/2 hours, it's still a bit disappointing since it's a farcry from the 6 hours rated life by the manufacturer. From experience, the iPad does reach and occasionally gets past its 10 hours rated life under those conditions (wifi on, 80% brightness, browsing + games). Then again, even other more expensive Android tablets like the ASUS Transformer and Samsung Galaxy Tabs never reach their rated life under the same conditions. So I guess the Ainol does still win points.

Hi ALL

Just wondering if anybody has had any issues with Flash , with ICS4. My Aurora seems fine through APP's but most of the time Flash will not work.
Un-installed and downloaded new from the app market, but nothing will work. Flash player settings just goes to a black screen.

Hello Dr Martin.
I bought this Chinese tablet online, but am almost throwing it away because I can't use it.
The main problem is that I cannot download apps to it.
I tried what you advised there, but am an amateur.I successfully downlownloaded them but I have not been able to get the android market working.
The tablet http://www.china-tab...screen-8209.htm

THE TRUTH ABOUT AINOL OR ANY OTHER CHINESE TABLET OUT THERE

To make it simple don't waste your money!!! I did, so save yours and go buy a brand named tablet from the store. You may pay a few burgers more on top but no head aches.

performance is shit, overheating issues and slow. none of the firmwares actually make this thing rock!

Ainol is a piece of SHIT!
