I have the Sanei N83, which is similar (or the same) to the Ampe A85.

Thanks for the info; I started an Ampe A85 thread (http://www.slatedroi...33707-ampe-a85/) - maybe we could get the mods to rename it Ampe A85/SaneiN83 & continue there?

(BTW - how do we know they're the same device?)

I recently bought this tablet.
despite the fact that it says "model:702f", lets just say if find this hard to believe (I'll explain later).
so these are the specs:

model: 702f
os: Android 4.0.3
cpu: allwinner a10, cortex a8 1.5ghz
gpu: mali400
ram: 512mb ddr3
flash memory: 8gb
ext. sd: yes, up to 32gb
display: 7.0 capacitive, 800x480
camera: webcam 0.3mpx
wifi: 802.11 b/g/n
battery: 3200ma, up a lot of hours
usb(one otg)
mini hdmi (support 2160p)

- the challenge -

once i got this tablet i tried to check all the specs and, well, brand and model were "unknown".
i eventually found out it was based on a inet 97f board.
well that wasn't enough for me and since i really love to open these things, i went to check the guts of this tablet.
and this is what i found:

a10 cpu cortex 8 at 1.2gh(ops!!)
2x 32gb Micron Memory chips (?)(Micron 29F32G08CBACAWP)
4x 1gb Hynix ddr3 ram (?)(Hynix H5TQ1G83BFR)
realtek wireless module
... still checking the camera since it is, according to specs 0.3mp but the ones normally used in this board (rev.2) are 1.3mp...

sooooooooooo..... it seems this board has a total of 64gb of internal memory and a total of 4gb of ddr3 ram.
i see 2 possibilities:
1- these are fake (counterfeit) memory chips (which is the most likely situation)
2- these memory chips were programed to only show the values of the specs (512mb of ram and 8gb internal memory)

anyway the rest of the specs are correct. If only i knew the make and model of this device...

i leave 2 photos taken to the board (the quality is a bit low)
any suggestions?

New device, Recently picked it up after seeing it at Gadget Show Live.

Ergo GoTab 7" (My model is the GBT740R, although its not the only 7" model).
Official website is here.
Pretty standard specs, well at least it is for an Allwinner A10 device.

7" 400x840 Screen
1.2GHz CPU
512MB DDR3 Ram
4GB Storage (Expandable to 16GB)

Thats about it, I'm guessing it should be compatible with most scripts in this section. Is it possible to get CWM, Root on this? Considering it looks like a pretty stock A10 Device.

There is a new device called Goclever A971 on the polish market. The hardware is identical to Teclast A10t and Superpad 910i. I was able to run on it both firmwares. Unfortunately the branded polish firmware is not available. I recommend using cyanogenmod CM9 on this device anyway, since the vendor firmware doesn't properly support bluetooth dongles for example.

Don't forget this one: http://www.slatedroi...-view-protab-2/
It seems there already are CWM, CM9, AOKP for this out from Christian Troy etc. but it's not noted here:

It's got menu, home, power and back buttons; a headphone output (3.5mm/TRS), HDMI, 5V _... 2A power supply input, USB Mini B (which it can also be charged through), MicroSD (also takes MicroSDHC up to Class 10), USB A (for memory sticks only it seems).

Bootup screen reads: Point Of View mobii Businessline PROtab2 XXL
Seems it is rooted by default, has busybox installed which is default for all Android devices I assume.

I have not flashed anything yet so I'm still on 2.3-1352
For Google Play I have to add the Market widget to desktop. It's said to work in 4.0_1828 from the browser.
ADB recognizes the device as "20080411 device" and in recovery as "20080411 recovery".
Because I'm on Linux I wasn't able to flash an original ROM with LiveSuite. I'm now trying to flash CWM to make some NANDroid backups before I try flash_image ...

1. I'm not even sure I can enter the mode for LiveSuite to flash. The button combination seems complicated. But if it's fastboot mode I can't connect with the SDK program.
2. When on and connected to my PC it shows three "USB 2.0 USB Flash Driver".
3. When I turn on USB storage one is appended with "- MID" (mobile internet device?).

I can only enter recovery through "echo -n boot-recovery | busybox dd of=/dev/block/nande count=1 conv=sync; sync; reboot"
Android system recovery <3e> first tries to install update.zip and then shows four options: reboot system now, apply update from sdcard/flash, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partitions
You can choose with menu and home buttons and select with power button.

Don't know if it's already known but here are some Allwinner A10 datasheets: http://www.allwinner...roduct/A10.html

In Croatia we have in market low budget tablet, sold as Naviatec MD710.

Here is link with pics & specs: http://www.maxnavia.com/

Mind you, it is not 1,2 GHz - actually it has 1008 MHz CPU

I see a lot of devices called MD710 with similar specs, but they don't have interchangeable firmwares/Android versions:

I am interested in it as game console for my 4y daughter (Angry Bird !!!) so I don't need 3G, Bluetooth, GPS...
But I want it to be as good as can be - CWM, deodexed/rooted... and I can't find manufacturer site, FW repository....

Any help is appreciated...

Model number: A10_MID
Android version: 4.0.3
Baseband version: 4.0.10
Kernel version: 3.0.8 root@ubuntu #60
Build number: crane_hractp-eng 4.0.3 IML74K 20120405 test-keys
