no underlying code has been changed.

i've simpy removed everything that's not relavant to the Hanspadd to optimise for this tablet.

confirmed working on 1633 and 1653 builds

why Ginger?

simple, it working better than ICS at the moment. it's a lower ram footprint, looks good and runs very smoothly. also i like it:)

whats not working?

hardware acceleration in video playback.

important!!! you need and external sd card for this to work. currently you can't view the EMMC drive using usb.

This build remames internal memory to emmc. If you connect to the pc its the external sd that will show. you can swap the drives using the settings option in cyanogen settings - this literally swaps the external sd for the emmc.

Emmc wont auto mount after you disconnect from a pc. Youll need to go to settings > storage and mannually mount it.

pick your kernel - must be a .32!! and put in the root of your internal storage i'm using the stock tnt 2.6.32.9 - very fast and stable

Boot into CWM..
wipe (factory restore)
Clear Davlik Cache
install update from zip -> select zip from sd
flash the chrisd1a1 Gingerpadd update.zip
flash the kernel
reboot the tablet.

install flash apk

Cheers I do like this Rom works well! Better than CM7.1. I use it with Go launcher much nicer with all the effects turned on. I will keep this rom now until ICS is out of alpha.

I like this ROM. Boots faster than Vegan Tab. Runs smooth so far. Just remember to install the kernel after the Rom. It would not go past Hannspree Logo until I installed it. Nice work.

Generally EMMC is not a bug, you have to check Settings -> CyanogenMod -> Applications -> Use internal storage

thanks for that - that increases the internal storage for apps, it doesn't change the emmc added to first post as an option

Hi Chris,
This ROM is looking solid. Can I install RC1 over the one I installed yesterday or do I have wipe and do it all over again? Took me a little while to set things up last night after installing the Gingerpadd version, so would like to avoid doing it all over again if possible.

If youare set up with the fixes from the initial build you don't need to change over. I've just included the fixes in the build and added a few extras. Three are no code changes, so if you are happy with your set up. Stay as you are.

Guys try antibytes hybrid kernel I have been running at 1.2 ghz nice and stable and even faster.

The hybrid is "a mix of AB/Fards/Rotation's 2.6.32 kernel mods and some stuff from the stock kernel sources."

Try running smartbench 2011 before and after to see if there is any performance increase.

I second for Antibyte kernel, the best kernel for me.

Chris, not sure if i understand correctly the EMMC stuff.

But in case it can help some people, here is my precise case and how i resolved it:

i had /sdcard mounted (it is my internal storage, i have no sdcard on my hannspad). When i reinstalled cm7_smb1002a, my apps disappeared (cause: no more /sdcard mounted, but instead /emmc; doing a symbolic link was not enough), and i had to activate this option for having a correctly mounted /sdcard - thus my apps link were not broken.
