Rundown on my ChinaGrabber grabber experience so far:

I originally placed my order on Feb 15th for a 16 GB Black Aurora Free Delivery using express pay from PayPal. This was in preparation of a trip I am going on March 15th, I figured a month was plenty of time for free delivery.

However after reading a lot online about delays etc I was getting a bit antsy. I realize that supply is/was an Ainol problem, but decided to check in with ChinaGrabber to see my options.

Feb 20th I send an email asking if they had an estimate on when the unit would be shipped and depending on that date if it was possible to upgrade to a different shipping method for faster delivery.

About 17 hours later they responded with a response others have already mentioned: "We have 8 GB in and 16 GB should arrive in several days to a week (no confirmed arrival day on 16 GB). The manufacturer has experienced delays due to an issue with the IPS screen. Supply is extremely limited and but we get exclusive supply from Ainol." adding that they would send tracking info as soon as possible.

The next day Feb 21 I responded asking if I could switch my order to the 8 GB version considering I've paid, they have it in stock, and I'm trying to get it and set it up before March 15th.

About 12 hours later (Feb 21 @ 12 noon) they responded with "We are actually receiving 16GB units in today and tomorrow so we can ship your order out after we test them."

So I've been pretty happy with their communication, and assuming they ship it out by the end of the week I should be OK. But if nothing gets shipped this week, I'll likely look at trying to cancel the order, and look at alternatives when I get back from my trip.

I'll update again when it's either been shipped or if it hasn't by this weekend.

I have found the chinagrabber experience to be overall a good one- fast reponse to e-mail, supply problem not their fault, did the best they could

should have changd the 16gb In Stock message earlier though

Only 7 days from China to Hungary.

i ordered 2 days ago when they stated here that they would have some in stock.
Now there is no stock anymore and my tablet is not shipped.. I also ordered from chinagrabber and pandawill.
Let's see which seller send it first pandawaill said half an hour ago that it would need more than 3 weeks until they ship mine (ordered on 16. feb).

It sounds good though few users felt that the ICS hasn't been optimized enough to the HW, which sounds strange as the HW itself should have to be enough for the ICS...

On Wednesday they told me that they were getting them in that day and the next and that mine would be shipped as soon as they were tested. I still have no word of shipping yet though. Only 18 days left till I leave on a trip, don't think it will make it to me in time.

Another nail in the coffin for my order. I placed mine on Feb 15th, so if you still haven't gotten yours from the 2nd, I'm a lot further down the line.

I've sent them, a final email basically saying ship it with faster than free shipping or cancel my order.

Friday, February 17, 2012 - shipment picked up.
Friday, February 24, 2012 - arrived (including Sunday till Wednesday "Clearance delay").

I've ordered from CG Last Friday 24/02 , I wasn't able to do the order on the website so after I sent an email explaining the issue they raised a payment via paypal. Anyone experienced the same problem?

btw the error msg was:

"An error occurred when placing your order. We apologize for the inconvenience. You may try placing the order again, or contact us at chinagrabber@live.cn with items in your cart, if this problem persists and we will send you a paypal payment request."


But now I don't have the order in the website
