How to convert avchd video to Nook Color

I get a Nook Color, and I want to transfer the AVCHD videos captured by my Panasonic HDC-TM900 camcorder, but when I put the video to the Nook, it does not recognise it, what shall I do?

You need to convert the video to H256/MP4.
