screen turned off on a ly f1

I have just got a ly f1 tablet and have encountered a problem with the screen.
I installed a power widget on my home screen and pressed the screen button thinking it would merely darken the screen but it turned the screen of entirely and I can're get it back on despite restarting the tablet.any ideas?

Connect to tv with HDMI cable. This wiil show the screen correctly and alow you to reset the brigtness.
