So Have not found the Root instructions here so figured I would share what worked for me..

A bit Disappointed that mass storage was removed from HoneyComb but found ways around this...

My motives for Rooting was not to put custom rom's but to use titanium backup to get some apps on my Pandigital Planet that are not available through normal means (ie market, side loading apk's..)

Yea, rooting the D7 has no benefit other than backing up apps. I have tried some of the custom roms but ICS is about done and JellyBean is now under development.
