I explained to them a few days ago about the 240 lcd density. Glad they are rolling it out like this. It makes the icons look really stupid, but for the average user who don't know how to edit a build.prop it opens pretty much every app in the market.

Press the white button on the page (see the screenshot)

The download is very slow in general, so I suggest you to use some downloader like Getright or DAP :good:

Do we need to follow the A816 upgrade method to upgrade? Also, Do you know where I can find the original version just in case this one corrupts my unit?

Okay, I have dd this sd card to death (in a manner of speaking). No boot. I am familiar with gparted and Linux in general and I wonder if I should;

a) rewrite partition table if mbr is corrupted

and/or

B) flag a partition as boot: if so, which one, dammit ?

I have an 8307 board

Yes, follow the A816 upgrade method to upgrade.

No, I don't know where found original version. But you can :

1. open your tablet (3 scews: 1 on bottom , 2 on top under little rubber caps)
2. get the SDcard
3. use dd and follow A816 method to backup into file-image
4. use dd to copy file-image-backup to another SDcard
5. re-insert new SDcard
5. close tablet
6. start & update

Not so easy but very satisfactory .

Using this method now I have tablet with 16GB (~13 free space) , new firmware, and bakup 8)

so basically this firmware just replaces the density to 240? so if i already did it via build.prop, i dont need this upgrade on my a820 anymore right?

dd is a linux command useful to make copy (all bytes) of your devices.

So you can use dd to save your SDcard , before upgrade, into a file-image.
If you broke something during upgrade can use copied file-image to restore SDcard.

See the A816 wiki how to do

Unfortunately can't tell more about this firmware.
I tried to install for experimental , and it seems works well.

HDMI problem resolved? I don't know, didn't make some tests.

Hi! Finally have downloaded that firmware, but when trying to install it, getting message "Signature verification failed"
My model is: Model number : Full Android on S5PV210
Android : 2.3.1
Kernel version : 2.6.35.7-bena-a2p3+ Bena@Bena #666
Build number : GINGERBREAD.eng.version=bena-20111105_111321
On the picture looks the same as Ivan's. Look's like 3e recovery can't verify signature. Is that only me, or anyone else have the same problem? Any issues?
