I have the original black 2gb 7" pandigital. r70f200.I was updating to a polaris_update.dat file named ezactly like that and it installed and was updating but now my pandigital wont turn on after reboot.. please help!

Go over to the black forum for help, and that is not the original black novel, it is newer and better and that is the wrong fw and would be a downgrade. I think terminander can probably help you recover it.

Hello,

I have the same problem. Here's what I have:

A coworker gave me a tablet of another coworker to to put on the Android upgrade on a white Novel since I did it on my own Novel tablet. The unit has been dropped & the on-off switch doesnt work. I was able to turn it on by pressing the reset button with a paperclip. I tried doing the upgrade by deleting all files on the internal SD card except Adobe editions per e-mail from Pandigital. I then copied the SH20_20110302_K_PD_INX7E_ENG_6410POP.zip to the internal SD card. Since the on-off switch doesn't work, I held down +volume while pushing reset. The unit did not go into flash upgrade mode but back to original screen. I may have tried this a second time and now the unit does not turn on, even with the reset button. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have it plugged in? Even if you got it flashed, it wouldn't be much good without fixing the power switch. It will go to sleep and you won't be able to wake it unless you make it never sleep. You would almost have to leave it plugged in all the time. Not sure I know what you can do at this point if it won't reset besides opening it up and unplugging the battery overnight. Then you might get it back to the old system with the reset. You probably need to charge the battery first before doing that though.

im in the same boat did a backup using YaffsExpert
so i would have everything when i upgradeed to a 16 gb micro sd card
installed the micro sd card and ran restore the restore completed and everything worked great turned off the tablet and now it wont power on using the power switch
i have tried using the reset button
tried unpluging the battery for 5 mins
re installed my old 2gb micro sd and nothing
i made shure i had power by doing so with it pluged in

any ideas

running on stock fw excpt i rooted it using kewlguys sd card enhancments just did root and added google apps
