Thanks for your reply, i think i will hold off then as the tf card slot won't work, i use that all the time.

Astro File Manager detects the card, but thats it. Nothing in the system itself. I will note that there is a system update function in the about section... not sure if it works, but that would be nice!

Edit: Added the ICS Youtube app separately (3.3.0) and it seems to work all right, but it doesn't rotate the video after it starts playing and switches to non-HD menus.

Don't listen to light... He's wrong he just has the wrong firmware installed...

Install the 20120112 one and everything works as it should...

He runs on the 20120115 one which fakes the internal memory as the Sd card for people who don't use those with their Ramos.

Keep in mind though that unlike the cwm based 20120115 update the 20120112 one wipes your complete data...

Also forget about the youtube app it sucks.

Just visit the youtube website with the original browser set to mobile, works great even in full hd which surprises me.

Perhaps someone could answer this FAQ request.

What are the steps required to fully backup my factory ROM load so that anytime in the future I can get completely back to original load contents.

My current version out of the box is 20120112

Is it as simple as finding the zip file and reloading that if needed.

if so could someone post the link to the download please.

thanks in advance.

You can't back your ROM up. Ramos runs on a locked recovery system called e3.

I'm currently trying to find a good way to patch that one up so we can hot swap it for cwm in the future.

Thank you. Is there then a method to reset to factory settings and load?

Ramos doesn't save your original ROM.
Sadly they don't even support firmware downgrades.

I'm working on a new recovery module for it though that lets you use test signed updates.

Hello,

I like my new Ramos W6HD tablet, but I'm having some trouble.

1. When I try to log into Facebook, I repeatedly get the error message "An error had occurred during sign in. Please try again later." Can anyone suggest a solution?

2. My W6HD has firmware version 20111217. I have read on this forum that version 20111215 installs Android Market. Can anyone tell me if I should be able to see Android Market with 20111217?

Thanks,

Can't run flash video from internet - i've tried different adobe flash player 10 versions, tried 11, still no result. I still can't get video to work from youtube for example. Flash player 11 is supposed to work with android 4, but at least for my w6hd its not working. Any ideas how to run video from youtube or common sites /without mobile versions :)/?

Hello Guys and Dolls.

I am a newbie to tablets and Android which is not a perfect combination. However have to start somewhere.
I bought my daughter a Ramos W6HD and I have the following problems which need solving.

First. Android market is in Chinese and I require clear and step by step instructions to get the English version.
Second. Adobe flash does not run when I browse into something. Similar detailed step by step instructions needed.

Excuse my stupidity but I have been brought up with Windows. Would greatly appreciate help.

Thanks.

For second time i have problem with draining battery life over night - first time i was with original/stock firm and the drain was around 5% , now i'm with 20120202 and the drain was around 40%/before i go to sleep w6hd was showing 44%battery, in the morning battery was dead/, which is serious. The battery seems to be fine, its charging now, i think that the problem comes from the software. Both times when the battery was drained my tablet was with wireless turned off and in standby mode/turned off screen, without powering off/. It looks like i have to power off the tablet over night, not use the standby mode - sure way not to drain battery. Any ideas? thanks.

Hi All - Question. According to several sites, the W6HD has infrared remote control support. I don't know exactly what that means and since the manual is in Chinese, I'm out of luck there as well. On the bottom of the device there is a small opening with a symbol that looks a lot like a light next to it. It lights up whenever the device is plugged in for charging. However, it also looks a lot like what one might expect see for an IR remote Tx/Rx sensor. Can the W6HD be use as an IR remote and, more importantly, can it receive inputs from an IR remote. I really like this thing and want to use it as a streaming media player to stream videos from my PC to my TV (which I am already doing courtesy of ES File Exploer, Samba, MX Player and the HDMI out). The creme de la creme would be if I could control everything via remote.

Any ideas?

I would also like to know about using a remote control with the W6HD. I know it has a remote sensor, but I don't know what remote to buy that will work. Is it as simple as getting a generic IR remote? If so, is there some kind of programming involved to get it to work, or does it work right out of the box? Thanks in advance to anyone that can help!
