Ramos W6HD - Information - Discussion - Reviews w/ Video

I have bought a Ramos W6HD and received two weeks ago - there are now about 4 owners near here in spain. Great machine. A friend helped us to upgrade the firmware to ICS 4.03 and enable access to Android market following your instructions - Thank you very much for all your work and help on the Ramos.
The problem i have is that i have messed-up the security log in big time and am now locked out. The screen states 'Too many pattern attempts!' To unlock, sign in with your Google account'
The Ramos will not accept my Google Account information - presumably because i am not on-line as i am locked out !!
I have tried the 'reset' but this only goes blank and then reverts to the same screen as described above
Is there another way to reset to the factory default other than pressing the reset button that does not work
Any help / advice would be much appreciated
Tonytimber - very frustrated and depressed!!

Download and extract it. But don't extract "update.zip". Copy all of them (about 5 files) including update.zip to your SDCARD without Directory (\SDCARD) then shut your ramos down. Start your ramos by press and hold Power and "M" button and wait until the green droid appear. It will update your ramos firmware, just wait until restart.

I just got the W6HD and it has build version 20120203 on it with no working Android market and it will not detect on board storage memory. Is there a newer version or do i have to downgrade to a older build to get this fixed? If so where do i get the older version at?

Cheers,

EDIT: I also looked at that link comparing it to the Paladin. I have no idea where that person doing the review got their info but there is no way in hades that the Paladin has a 7000mAh battery. That is so wrong it is almost laughable. I would expect it has maybe a 4000mAh battery... maybe. Probably closer to 3700mAh which is what Ainol is using in all their newer devices.

Please be gentle and kind, I'm a "Old" Newbie...
I was just about to order Ainol Novo 7 Elf, then I found the Ramos W6HD and W19.
I can see the paper specifications are somewhat different, but real life usage?
Can anybody please comment on how Ramos is?
- Construction?
- How easy to upgrade/re-flash
- Any other useful comments?
Being older, I need to spend my money wisely.
Many Thanks
David

I can watch about 3-4 hours of video on a single charge, depending on screen brightness, and that's with wifi enabled. Gaming can eat through it a bit faster if I'm playing something somewhat graphic-heavy like Angry Birds. If I'm using it for general web browsing off and on throughout the day, I can usually go without charging for a day or so. If I'm just using it for ebooks, I usually turn off wifi and I can easily get a full day of casual reading. I usually plug it in overnight anyways, so as to not worry about it dieing on me. On standby, it lasts forever. I'm actually really impressed with the battery life overall, especially considering the price if the tablet.
Hope that helps
