I checked the link... and based on the "comparison" there... the Ramos W6HD seems to be the clear winner vs. the Ainol Novo 7 Paladin.
The Ramos does cost a little more, but you get dual cameras and an Anti-Glare screen.
The only benefit to the Ainol appears to be a slightly larger battery.

It's a pitty that Paladin doesn't have any camera. News said that local Chinese manufacturers will launch more Android 4.0 tablets, the popularity of ICS is already on the way. :D Maybe we can wait a little longer for more less-costly ones.

No market at this time, but you can install the Amazon Market.
Hopefully a firmware update will come out soon and fix the market issue.

Hello Tasselhof,

First of all, Thanks for your help !

But let me ask you something, in your "[FAQ] - Ramos W6HD - Commonly Asked Questions " thread , you say that´s possible to enable "Full Market", but I´m confuse since it´s doesnt have Market.
Could you please clarify ?

And regaring root, the root process in the FAQ works ?

My last question, do you think we will get the firware source code any time ? I bought a DROPAD A8x... it´s no longer supported by the Manafucter, and we don~t have the source, so, it´s dead :-/...
I would appreciate your advice.

Tasselhof, i've a few questions after i watched the video that u uploaded on youtube about this tablet.

-what is the red colour that is appearing in the video?
-does it support flash?
-is there any firmware update which allows more then 2 capacitative touch as u mentioned in the video?
-max battery time while playing video?
-does it show any status/indicator that the battery is fully charged?
-is the battery removable?
-how is the reading experience on this tablet compared to eink readers, that is if u've used any.

thanks

I have not seen an updated firmware yet. In regards to Flash. I manually installed Flash 10.3 and the Opera browser. I can report that flash content was playing normally at a website called flashmo D com.

That would be the Camcorder light. Yes there is a battery indicator... I haven't really tested it playing straight video but from general use I would estimate at least 2 to 3 hours of solid video playing. Battery is not removable. eInk will always win out in reading unless you are in a dark room with no lights ;) and in particular if you read for hours at a time, but the text is crisp and clear along the anti-glare helps with outside sunlight.

Hello everyone,

I've just bought this tablet from meri, can't wait to receive it!;) (I've also bought a Onda VX610W so the first thing I'll do is to compare them).
I've chosen this tablet mostly for the anti glare screen, I read a lot of techical ebooks and my ebook reader can't quite handle them because they have a lot of figures / diagrams etc.
I'm also an android software developer so feel free to ask me for a custom app that we may need for those two tablets ;)

I have received my W6hd :yahoo: . It's my first Android. I did the firmware upgrade to 201128 and it worked. I can't get a picture in Netflix? sound and the rest work, just no picture. Leo's Flight Sim won't start. Barcode Scanner (from Amazon Market) doesn't work, just closes. Tried the Android Marketplace 3.4.4 but it just crashes. Most apps from GetJar don't Download, just sit at 0% forever. Any Idea how to root this Tablet? The screen is nice inside, but a bit reflective and dim outside. The speakers are pretty low in volume. overall I like it so far, just want to get more apps that work.
