Did you install vending.apk as the last file, then power off the device before opening market for the first time?

This is probably the wrong place to ask...if so feel free to move it. I am somewhat familiar with flashing, etc. thanks to the communities help with working on 2 WPDNs. I just got my wife a new Supernova DLX and unfortunately she despises the Kindle app (all her ebooks are epub) and would like me to put the B&N Bookshelf on it like she had on her WPDN. My question is this ... is it possible to install the B&N Bookshelf on a Supernova that came with the AZ firmware? If not, is it possible to flash the BN firmware to a Supernova that initially came with the AZ firmware? Thanks for any help y'all can give. As any of you married folks would already know...if the wife ain't happy, ain't nobody happy! LOL

I have flashed my AZ SuperNova to the BN firmware while they were having wiring issues and it worked great. I believe you can load the BN apk from the BN firmware to the AZ unit no problems. I was going to try, but a buddy pointed me to Aldiko Book reader and I find this works nice for me, but I didn't give the BN app a lot of time. If I get some time I will test load the BN app to see for sure.

Thanks for the reply! 3 questions ... Does Aldiko have the "bookshelf" view?, Does it support "sideloaded" epubs?, and does it allow you to assign your books to seperate "shelves"? As long as those criteria are met I can skip the B&N app as she doesn't use the actual built in bookstore, she just wants something to read her books that looks similar to what she had.

Thanks again for the help!

I tried loading the Barnes & noble app from the bn firmware and got force close :(
Yes it does have bookshelf, and has taken the epubs I have loaded. I'm not sure about seperate shelves, but its worth a look at.
