market compatibility issues

I have many problems to download applications from the market and to install them in my MID816r2. When I'm looking for an aplication, many times appears the message "this application is not compatible with your device" even when consulted an application that I have already installed and it works perfectly.
Some of these "incompatible applications" woks perfectly when I install them by an apk file, but if I don't have the apk file it is impossible to install.
Do you know how can I solve this problem, please?
Thank you in advance.

update from the market (in manage applications). Than i started market and downloaded something. Now market will update itselve en sees that lcd dencity is
set at 160 so you can download everything. after that you can set the dencity back at the original 158 and restart the tablet again. Untill the next market update
this will work.If a new update comes you do this all over again.

Thaks 2die4,
I have just make your indications and the problem persists. I have change the density using lcd density because the root explorer is not compatible with my device ¿? (even using the "com.speedsoftware.rootexplorer.apk" included in the Tasselhof-RootScript folder).

Thanks again 2die4, because I have solved my problem stricly following your solution (sometimes it is necessary go step by step)
The problem was that LCD density doesn´t keep the 160 dpi when you restart the tablet after downgrade the market. Finally I have used the program called LCD Resoltion (because I still can't use root explorer ¿?) and all is solved.
Thank you again.
