UPDATE: 12/17/2011

thanks for all the suggestions

I had given up on my wpdn

but today dusted it off after abandoning it for few days

put the 11/19 fw on the internal card

and it flashed

very glad but still wish I had better idea what was causing my issue

after flashing 4 different wpdn for almost a year I avoid the typical pitfalls etc

and have never had a problem

never say never I guess.

=============================================================================================================
having a problem (BIG)

installed the honeycomb rom after stepping back the fw

no problems

honeycomb worked but was buggy

so attempted to flash back to stock 11/19

stuck in flash loop

tried formatting cards, reflashing etc

get andy with few seconds of progress bar then exclamation then loop

when I boot it goes as far as second screen with the white progress indicator as usual but then reboots

I have adb installed and working and minor commands work

thanks to kind instructions of mrs.burnout

listing installed apk's on device, push and pull works fine while pdn on blue boot screen

what now?

is this salvagable?

can I push the entire firmware thru adb?

I tried the pushing recovery and bootloader image

seems fine

but then I flash thru adb then reboot

nothing happens

first time using adb

quite a learning curve

thanks in advance

I have run into similar problems with angry andy. Found I had to flash with the internal sdcard. But if you have had a SH20 firmware you will have 2 partitions on it, one has your downloaded apps, the other is the sdcard.

as far as i know you cannot push the entire firmware with adb. I will look into this matter further if you wish when i get home.

Which live cd are you using? (linux)
Also i would reccomend not using gparted as it is designed specificly for creating linux ready partitions. Try fdisk or cfdisk. Both come with the gentoo live cds. Might not make a difference, but it also might.

Ok I stand corrected. This process of downgrading firmware via ADB has been done on HTC brand phones etc.. Here is a guide I found that may help you in the process of doing the downgrade and come out with a live device on the other end of the tunnel. Please update me and let me know if this was of any service to you.

As described in the header of this document this is for the "HTC Desire Z" downgrading the firmware to an exploitable version, although I do believe the same concept would apply to your situation.

This guide will walk you through the process of taking the HTC Desire Z from stock Gingerbread firmware to a stock, exploitable version of the Froyo firmware. Once it is downgraded, you would proceed thru the process of getting CyanogenMod on the device. If the HTC Desire Z is already running firmware version 1.34.xxx.x or lower (Settings » About Phone) you can skip to the HTC Desire Z: Rooting guide.

Hope this helps!

This seems a bit over my head

keep in mind,

while I have flashed nearly every other FW I have never had problems

so the entire ADB experience is new to me as of yesterday

but I will poke around with it

I was trying to push the img files for the bootloader and recovery, using 11/19 fw

although I'm not certain which FW is actually installed on the tablet

was coming from the honeycomb FW they are working on here for the WPDN

I thought I was flashing OEM 11/19

but when I listed the intalled apk's via adb shell, it had the gapps mods

does it matter which fw version I have installed to push those img files?

I think your on the right track. First determine your current firmware version. Look it up in the wiki. The wiki's are excellent sources of information. Once the firmware version is determined THEN you can figure out what version you need to download and start pushing over to restore the device. I hope I am following your correctly.
