As the title, is there anyway to upgrade the ram in this tablet to 1gb? Does the RAM utilise a traditional "card" or is it some kind of chip installed on the board?

Thanks in advance

The RAM is chips, so not upgradeable. Same for the internal memory. There were some internal pictures floating around somewhere.

Upgrading RAM is impossible. The "cip" is a called SoC (System on a Chip) it includes CPU+RAM+GPU and some more in one CHIP - no extra RAM Chips!
NAND Flash - internal 4 GB of storage - based on two chips (each 2GB) ... also not possible to upgrade.
