Here are the final version of my Custom MOD for the ZT-180v2, v2.5 and v3.
The MOD is based on the non-public ROM 0730 and has been modified to work with older v2 Tablets. Compared to the official Zenithink ROM's this MOD is faster more stable and easy to root.

Installation Instructions:

Step 1: Preparation
Important: Because the new file system "ext4" is used, the setup runs through a complete formatting of the tablet. Even the data on the internal SD card can be erased. Please make a backup of your data and synchronize your accounts.

Step 2: Installation
Download a ZIP file at the end of the post and extract the "zt-update" folder to a empty MicroSD or MicroSDHC card (TF Card/FAT32). Put the card in your ZT-180v2, 2.5 or v3 and press the "POWER" button and hold the "Home" button for few seconds. Now the MOD should install automatically. After an automatic reboot please wait until the system prompt you to calibrate the display. Do this and run "Provider Setup" and "SDK setup". Now the MOD is installed.

Step 3: Setup
Now that the MOD is installed and the desktop is visible, press the Menu button, select "VTLSettings -> Backup and Restore" and restore the "VTL settings" and "desktop configuration". Go back to the desktop and start right above "Quick Profiles'. Pressed the "menu" button again and select "Import". Now the launcher is pre-configured and you can use my power profiles. If you want to change the background, start the "ES File Manager". The folder "Wallpapers" takes some of my collected wallpapers. Open the picture what you want push the "Menu" button and select "Set Wallpaper". Pull the orange frame as large as possible and confirm with "Save".

Step 4: Additional Software
You will notice that only the most necessary programs are installed. At the Market you can download programs like Google Maps, Youtube, ect. Updates work without problems now. Under the folder "Software" there are many free apps and games. If you won't root your system, the, ignore the folder "root" and Step 5. Important: Do you want to use Android Market, install the apps from the folder "Software" first. Reboot your tablet and activate your Google account. Now the market will automatically find updates.

Step 5: Root and Apps with root privileges
This MOD is very easy to root. Root only if you really know what you are doing. App's like "AdFree" or autostart killer as "ES Task Manager" require root privileges. In the folder "Software -> Root" install first "Universalandroot". Open it and deselect Super-user. Click on "Root :-)", confirme "root again", done. If want to use super-user, for example, an SU update, install it separately from folder "Root" or the Market.

F.A.Q

Q: Can I switch to my original ROM?
A: Yes, look which version you have and load them from Zenithink. The installation procedure is the same as for this MOD.

Q: What is the advantage of this mod?
A: There are several. Once this MOD starts faster, uses less battery and is also stable. In addition, errors such as swapping the red / blue and market issues have been resolved.

Q: Is the new Market pre-installed
A: Yes, version 3.3 of Google's Andriod Market are successfully tested and installed, it needs only a little more time than the old.

Q: Why only Flash 10.2 and not 11.x are included?
A: All ZT-180 runs with an ARMv6 (ARM11) processor. Adobe generally needs ARMv8 or higher.

Q: Is the MOD already rooted?
A: No, but that's easy. Please read Step 5.

Q: Is Busybox already installed?
A: Yes, Busybox was already a part of the original ROM. However, this was also the cause for the red / blue bug. The current version should be compatible with all models (1.19.3). If you still want to update Busybox and the bug reappear, tried other versions and change the installation path "bin" with "xbins" or vice versa.

Q: I have no sound more...
A: Try out the other version of the MOD.

Q: How can I activate the Gingerbread keyboard?
A: Starts "ES File Manager" and go into the folder "Software -> System" and install the "GingerbreadKeyboard.apk". Then activate under "Options --> Language & Keyboard" Gingerbread Keyboard. Once again it opens a text field, press a few seconds at a free surface and then select "Input Method -> Ginger Brad keyboard."

Q: Although I'm rooted, "ES File Manager" rootfunktions wont work.
A: This is an error during automatic installation. Go to folder "Software -> System" and install the File Manager again.

Q: How do I get my surface to the bottom as in the pictures?
A: If the default desktop is visible, press the "Menu" key (the right button of the two multi-keys). Now select "VTL.Launcher--> Backup and Recovery" and restore "VTL-setting" and "Screen Configuration".

Download:
4GB/512MB only models with HDMI connection. From 08.08.2011 new sound chips were used. If you have no sound after install, install a other version. Damage to the tablet can not be confused by the result. The Lite versions has no Google Apps, phone and sync functions. If your virus scanner found a virus (Universalandroot.apk) ignore this. It is definitely not a virus. The program use an exploit to root Android, but under Windows or Linux it can't run.

On final last setember I bought in Shangai a Tablet ZEPAD zt-180 v2 512mb/4Gb WITH camera, HDMI, SD until 32gb,etc
and I spent time reading forums looking for information about her (this is a new world for me), first all, for know if it was v1 or v2, after for improving her software and I just arrived this threat. Dubts? yes

I have a few suggestions for a next version or complement:

1º - Google Search Engine was gone and i couldn't install it from market. Market says that my device is not compatible with the app, and this is wrong, beacause i had it in another rom, everybody had it;

2º - Some apps already have updates, like market (3.3.12) and adobe flash player (10.3), and they don't update from the market.

And to end this reply, i have a question, it is possible to install google apps package?

Mmmmm in my menu/setup I can select GPS or not ..
maybe is with a dongle gps usb? I didn´t test this...

Sorry, it is only a custom mod, not a rom. i can't create new kernels.
