If you look around you can pick up a Viewsonic gtablet for around the $250 mark, Tigerdirect has periodic sales including tablets, it's where I got my gtab for $259.

i notice someone mentioned the herotab mid816r2 its around 200 at merimobiles.com, or the t9 8 inch capacitive multitouch http://www.merimobil..._p/meri0642.htm, and i've also seen the Le Pan for 179 on amazon.ca

i don't know much about any of these as i don't own a tablet yet, but am looking in the similar price range.

I'm in the same boat....looking for a good tablet around $200.

Was considering either Skypad Alpha 2 or Ainol Novo 7 Aurora, yet I have heard about the alpha 2 speaker issues.
Is it really that bad? Open for any suggestions?
