Hey Everyone,
I am planning on buying my 12 year-old son either a Nook Color 2 or Kindle Fire.
1. - Most important question: I plan on rooting/hacking/modding the hell out of it...so which one is better for those purposes??
2. - Which one is better, overall??
Thanks!!!
BJ

The nook uses android os, the kindle fire you would have to flash with a new ROM if you want it a droid.

I actually use a Kindle Fire with Jelly Bean 4.2.2 on it Very easy to setup too, very fast and is just nano seconds behind in speed behind the Nexus7, I love my Fire with full fledged Android 4.2.2 on it ...... very optimal battery usage too.I like to call it my FireDroid!
