Abtekk's C-ROM
Please note - This is only for the "F" model!!!! FOR NOW!!!!
(Can someone post a download link to a "non-f" model firmware please?)

What will be different with this ROM?
The aim of this ROM is to have everything useless removed and stability increased. I plan on having great performance.

What base are you using?
I am using the 0603 ROM as a base.

Don't expect much to have changed between the stock ROM and V1...
V1.5 and V2 will have greater improvements over the stock ROM.

V1 Released!
Modifications:
- Unneeded apps removed
Spoiler

Download:
F/H Model: http://www.multiupload.com/CXLP5ASFLS
(Be sure to grab the correct kernels for your board from the other threads)

V2 Released!
Modifications:
- Home changed to zeam
- Displays "Abtekk's Custom ROM V2" in about device
- Unneeded apps removed
Spoiler

Download:
F/H Model: http://www.multiupload.com/WK7OENESWA
(Be sure to grab the correct kernels for your board from the other threads)

!!!PLEASE DO NOT MIRROR!!!

How to use the swap script (available in v3)...
To get the ePad to generate a swap file on the SD card, root the device and install "Terminal Emulator" from the market and run the following commands: (Press enter after each line)

su
sh /system/swap.sh

Then back out of Terminal and wait for the system to restart.

Upcoming features (in no order):
- More apps removed
- Touch screen sensitivity mod
- TX Power mod
- Better power management
- Custom apps added
- Better loading times
- Setup Wizard prompt skip
- Smoother menu scrolling
- Fully Pre-Rooted
- Remove USB Debugging pop up (because it's annoying)
- Unlock the lockscreen with menu key
- Have the GPU render the UI rather than CPU (should improve load time)
- Built in flash support
- Chainfire 3D preinstalled

Request a feature:
Want to see a feature in this ROM? Such as preinstalled apps/improvements? Post below and I'll try my best.

Wow, what a great addition to the community you are. Thanks. I have the H model with the Green board. I can't exactly remember what directory I downloaded my files from for my EPAD, Hopefully some other EPADDERS with the H model can help.

Thank you.

As far as I'm aware, can't H and F model firmwares be cross flashed?

Cool, a custom ROM for the V2's......

So this is based on the 20110603 ROM? Why not the 20110618 (inand formatted to ext4 instead of ext2, what I'm using right now)? Are you going to make one based on the 20110730 for the G2 board tablets? Or the 20110808 for the new V2's with the new audio chip?

Are the kernels you packed with your ROM for the G0, G1, or G2 boards?

Is there much advantage with 0618 over 0603?

Absolutely nothing about what you just said meant anything to me. o.O. I just pulled these files from your Mediafire link. (here to be precise). I know what I'll do, I'll add a link telling users to get the kernels for there boards from an external link.

LOL, yeah, the V2's can be very confusing.....

For me, the 0618 with the ext4 file system seems to be a lot more stable, I haven't had to reflash my v2's (10" and 7") since I flashed them with my custom 0613 system image and the 0618 kernels & zImage_update....

Cool, true, it's only the system.tar.bz your modifying right now, right?

Ah, ok, I see you only uploaded the *.tar.bz files, my bad.....

Yeah I'm not touching the kernels or anything, I'm going to avoid uploading the kernels when I compress my ROM to an archive, it will save confusion and time.

It's ok, but please bare in mind that I don't actually have a V2 to test with so I'm relying on 3rd party feedback.

Thank you very much, I'll try and get a good update rolled out pretty fast. What is the stock launcher like on that system? Is it OK or is it sluggish?

Also I'll definitely be working on getting 2.3 on the V1 and V2 but I just need kernel.org to come back online.

Have installed this on my F board, and works nicely. I actually used the entire package from 618, and just replaced files with your custom. Everything so far works
fine. It seems a bit more responsive as well.

Can't wait to see all the other stuff removed, and really see how much faster this tab can actually go.
I've had mine for around 3 months now. Been fairly happy with it.

Pretty hard considering I don't actually have a device to test with, but I'll definitely give it a shot.

Stock launcher is ok and its not that sluggish, I will test launcher pro and some others on it. Thanks and keep up the good work.
