I got a 10 inch Android netbook to play with the other day and after messing around with the stock firmware i decided i would try Modroid V11 on it.

As soon as i put in the SD-Card and it started booting off the SD the screen began rolling a gray box constantly like the picture is out of range of what the screen can support, I have restated the netbook but since then i have not been able to get anything on screen other than the scrolling box don't even get the green robot appearing now on first booting now.

Do you think its bricked?

I have contacted my supplier and asked if they have a factory firmware for it i can try but waiting for a response, is this the usual response if its bricked or would you not usually get anything showing on screen?

Ill be a bit annoyed if it is bricked as i have only had it a few days.

Here is a link to the same item as i have bought http://www.dhgate.co...70f57b1d53.html

UPDATE: My device is not bricked as i is actually booting up to the android home screen and i can hear the sounds from the speakers if i move the mouse and click on some icons so i think its the screen resolution thats messed up as these support 1024 x 600 unlike the 7 inch which are only 800 x 480.

FURTHER UPDATE: I managed to revive my device with Udroidx 1.5.3 using the 10" WM8650 tablet setting from the changer.bat, the only thing i can't get working is the camera which just shows random pixels and then freezes the netbook when i run the app. will await on the supplier getting back to me with a copy of the original firmware and flash it back to factory settings

Hi ukclear, thanks for the info...I have ordered one of these netbooks, too, good to know which FW works and which not.

Thanks for the info ! :clapping:

Regarding the camera issue, well, on my Flytouch2 I had a similar problem, which was related to the uboot version. Since messing with uboot can be really dangerous I won't bother...what do I need a camera for in this netbook except Skype video calling, which is not supported in Android version < 2.3 anyway...

Please keep us updated if you get a link to a factory firmware, maybe I would be interested in modding it. Thanks ! :)

I simply used the changer.bat file to set udroid to the 10 inch tablet, put the firmware onto a SD card and then powered on the netbook and left it for about 10 minutes to reflash from the sd card, removed the card and it started to boot udroid and the screen corruption was gone

Hi Ukclear,

Have the same laptop stuck on the android logo boot screen.

I would like to load the stock firmware, but no way to get it.

Could you please upload it again ??

The actual link is down.
