Hello All,
I can confirm that whatsapp works fine, got it to work earlier today use the guide below, ANYTHING IN UPPERCASE IS MY INPUT:
http://www.slatedroi...sapp-on-mid816/
Thanks to a post in Ce4Arab, Now I can use Whatsapp without needing a data connection, just using Wi-Fi!
Requirements:
1- Rooted Android phone.
2- Rooted Android Tablet.
3- Titanium Backup PRO/FREE
4- Whatsapp of course!
5- VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU USE THE SAME 'GMAIL' LOGIN ACCOUNT FOR BOTH OR IT WON'T WORK...
6- ON THE TABLET I ONLY RESTORED 'DATA ONLY'
On the phone:
1- Install Titanium Backup PRO on your Android Phone (*** from Android Market ***).
2- Install Whatsapp on your Android phone and activate it (*** from Android Market ***).
IMPORTANT ** ADD CONTACTS TO WHATSAPP ON YOUR ANDROID PHONE AS WELL. **
3- Open Titanium Backup PRO, press Batch and then Backup your user data, they say you must make a full backup but I only did the following:
Open Titanium Backup PRO, then go to Backup/Restore, scroll down till you find Wahtsapp, press on it once and then hit Backup!
4- Using any method/file explorer brows your Android phone to folder named TitaniumBackup ( you'll find it in sdcard ), copy it to your computer, then copy it to your Tablet sdcard.
Now on the Tablet:
5- Install Whatsapp on your Tablet (*** from Android Market ***).
6- Install Titanium Backup PRO On your Tablet (*** from Android Market ***).
7- Open Titanium Backup PRO , Press Menu, then press Batch then scroll down to ( restore All apps with data ).
Notes:
- I haven't used Titanium Backup PRO before, so all the steps above is with using the program once. If anyone is using it and has backup their data before please paid attention if you do have previous backups.

This is a member of the Viber Development Team.
Viber should work fine on tablets, though it is still only partially supported.
@UberGeek now with new toy - can you please describe in detail the problem you are experiencing?
If anyone has any questions/suggestions for Viber, I'll be happy to assist.
Thanks,
Viber Team

Hiya, Thanks for getting back to me
I've just tried to install and run whatsapp and I get this error:
Alert
We can't identify your decide. Please turn off the phone, take out the battery, restart it and try again.
Note: Tablets are not currently supported.
I've tried reinstalling it but to no avail sadly. I'm running a custom rom (Gtacomb33 refresh by Fards)
Would appreciate any help/suggestions you can make. Thanks

And question to anyone that have WhatsApp working - does your contacts loose names and you have just numbers left? I have this problem, can't fully link WhatsApp contacts to contacts on tablet and have phone numbers instead of names shown in app... I'm on Flashback 8.1 if that helps at all

I'm not sure I fully understood your problem then... What you're describing is a problem running WhatsApp. Is Viber working fine for you?

We (Viber) are about to release multilangual support for Viber at last!
We would appreciate your help with translation to your personal language. If you are fluent at any other language than English, this means adding missing translated lines, and confirming the existing translations previously added by users: http://translate.viber.com
Remember - we let the community of our users shape Viber and decide what it looks like
If you have any questions please let me know. We thank you in advance,
the Viber Team.

I'm trying these tip to make whatsapp run on my hannspad, but can't install the apk on the tablet (downloaded from whatsapp homepage), it says that is not compatible with the tablet. Where can I get a valid copy of the apk?
Thanks and best regards.

Hi Fran,
You have to install the Whatsapp app from the 'android market' NOT from their website.
I hope this helps.

Hi,
Viber does not officially support Tablets yet (and that is probably why it appears as incompatible). However, you can find the direct link to the .APK in our official website. Here's the link: http://helpme.viber....-android-market
