I just purchased my MID7024 a couple days ago. I am looking to get Gingerbread onto it which I believe your ROM posted here is. I just have a couple questions for you before I take my chances by flashing over my factory ROM.
1. By "Put microSD card into Coby 7024" do you mean put the 2G microsd card into the external extsd slot?
2. Do you know of any way to get Clockworkmod recovery onto this tablet?
Thanks for the post! Look forward to hearing from you.

OK. Thanks for the info. I have Froyo running well, but it is the stock ROM. But, if I need to restore for some reason, this will be nice to have. Are there any other advantages to using your image?

This is base on c8lean rom so all the junks and un needed files remove. No more phone and telephony apps. Sleep is working properly no more random shutdown when sleeping. Uses new icon and battery image with percentage value. 3g working. Battery last longer also.
But if your still using stock rom my advise is not to update. Better to stick. I only updated because i bricked mine.

Sure,
C8lean is very stable, I know. Update it because I never liked their logo and the camera that did not work.
I followed the instructions, format the micro SD GB, copy the firmware, you press power + home button, started the upgrade, then turns off. Switch on the logo stood for several minutes and hours.
any ideas

My tablet does shut itself off at random during sleep. Do you know where I can find the fix for the random shut down?
I have it rooted and have tons of apps running on it such as Netflix, Lookout, CSipSimple, Skype, Maps, Market, MoboPlayer, Nesoid, Snesoid, Remote Desktop, VNC, Skifta, Titanium Backup, Voice, YouTube, XiiaLive, WeatherPro and Zedge to name some.
I want to get Bluetooth and 3G working as well, and any other peripherals.

Coby now release the original firmware for 8024 maybe they will also release one for 7024.
3g works on the stock rom you have to turn on the settings, for bluetooth only 2.3 works.

Hello,
As a last hope Download and install the official firmware bricked my Kyros Coby to 7024 and now I can not get into recovery. If I press the power button + home the device turns off.
I also only happens if I press the power button. The only thing that lights are the softkeys and after a few seconds off.
I can do?

Why is the file, after I unzip, asking me for a password? Using WinRAR

I wanting to know if Dev work has stopped for the 7024 as well? I have one of these devices and I like it although the community doesn't support it very well. I hear some folks going on and on about the 7022 and the 8024 but the work being done on those devices doesn't translate over since the hardware is going to be slightly different with every device.
I consider myself to be fairly able to figure things out but when it comes to compiling code and developing apps for android it really is not within my skill set. I wish it were because then I could help out on things like this instead of bothering hard working devs.
Anyway, if anyone has any info to give or can point me or the previous poster in the right direction I am sure we would both appreciate it.
Thanks!
