I need everyone's input. I have installed several ROM HC and GB based. I keep coming back to GB because movies run smoothly on it. I believe this is due to the video drivers not being released for HC. Does any know if they will ever be released? I like HC, but like my video to run smoothly.

Neither GB nor HC will ever have official support or official HW deccoding. Keep a close eye on the attempt to get the .36 kernel working on the GTab... that would definitely improve video playback...

From my personal experience, Brilliant Corners 1.3.1 is the most stable ROM and can be found here in the Brilliant Corners thread. it is of the 1.2 branch, so you would want to first update to the stock 4349 ROM. I recomend updating to this ROM, clearing data and cache (data wipe and clear cache), then updating to Brilliant Corners. it is Android 2 Froyo, and supports Netflix.

My favorite Android 3 Honeycomb rom is Flashback 8.0 Alpha, and can be foun in the Flashback Honeycomb Alpha 8.0 thread. it is a great Rom, but does have flash issues (but there are work arounds), but I have not been able to get netflix to work on it, and the camera does not work. It is also on the 1.2 branch, so you would want to load after updating to the stock 4349 ROM.

Note, the 4349 rom was pulled from Viewsonic's website, but can still be downloaded from the GTab recovery Firmware thread downloaded here.

I have been running flashpoint (froyo) since it was released it is currently on v2.0 the zoom is scaled back like it is on HC roms so things don't just look stretched out. It is very stable in fact I haven't had a freeze up yet although I probably just jinxed myself and I am using Clems ver 11 1.5 OC kernel so it is also quite fast

Also streams very well I watched an entire Soccer game on espn 3 yesterday without a problem

If you like the GB ROM interface, you won't like TnT at all. You'd be better off with Brilliant Corners, or Century Eyes. If you really want a ROM like the one you suggested, then try Mountain Laurel. It just got a major update for HD video and works quite nicely.

I tried almost all of them and now running as follows

ROM : VEGAn-GE-7.1.0-smb_a1002-BL-1.2-fixed_assert.zip
Kernel : Clemsyn 1.5boot1.2Gingerupdated.zip
CPU : @1.5ghz
Launcher : ADWLauncher EX using iphoneish UI
OC : CPU_Master_for_Root_Users_v1.9.1
Voltage : pimpmycpu-3.0

Able to run 1080p and 780p test video and they are smooth.

1080p : big_buck_bunny_1080p_surround.avi
720p : Medusa.mp4

Everything works, camera, Bluetooth, video. I don't use any of my tab
as game machine so I cannot say all the game works.

I will recommend VEGAn-TAB ROM and also Brilliant Corners as a daily runner. BTW ran both ROM using Clemsyn's kernel with no issue.

How is Clemsyn's battery life compared to Preshoot's?

Its about the same for me between the two. Clemsyn has more options and a little more speed.

Not yet, I've install most ROMs. The problem is the movies in MP4 format are glitchy. Here's what I am after Flash,USB connectivity, movies (MP4), I would like to be able to user the additional 16GB flash memory I added,and Browsing. Right now CM7RC1 works the best. I wish I could find a HC ROM that worked as well.

What are you using to play your MP4's?

I am running GtabComb 3.3. It is fastest an the most stable HC rom. I tried all of them. This one gives me constant rank in Quadrant 3125. Opera mini plays flash and Netfilx is working. It is kind of similar to Flashback, but faster and more stable.

Stevens, that is a good ROM, but not supported over here as you found. I would stick with the 'Flash*' ROMs as Bardell is actively developing them, and he is top-notch. I really hope that roebeet gets into the mix again. That would be really awesome. He makes it look so easy. LOL

I just flashed 3 honeycomb roms tonight to use for an hour or so and pick out the one i liked most. So far flashback is running very stable and smooth overclocked to 1.4ghz. I had it charged to full and have been use it non stop for 3 hours and have less than a 20% battery drain and only a few random force closes that have seemed to fix themselves.

I bought this tablet only for a honeycomb Tom and so far i am lovin0 this one and plan to stay with it.

I am on. stock-5274-rooted with 300 apps with all tegra games working.

I installed the Market and changed some scripts. ext keyboard and mouse work, blutooth works, evernote works, skype works on mine, fring does work, netflix works. Map has no animation though but I could live with it. all live wallpaper has no issues regarding launcher pro. PVZ, I am not sure. that app is not available in Canada. I think, the most complete market is in Vegan. I retained the old UI because I believe look awesome.
