I looked and the Venus 10" tablet goes around $345-$350 at lowest price I could see. Why even buy this? For $50 more can get a brand name tablet with better OS support and likely higher quality.

In Canada, we have the Acer Iconia 10" that goes on sale for $350 from $400. Also, Asus & Toshiba sell theirs for $400.

The first advanced tablets sell much expensive. They will cut down the price when more and more similar tablets crowd to the market. That's the rules. If you are not enthusiastic about the most advanced things, it is better just to wait and see.

I too find it expensive now, while Acer A500going for <$375 on amazon. One of the put-downs of venus pad is 2-points multi-touch instead of 5-points. Also battery life is yet to be proven.

New is not always better as well. Wait and see how it works out. And with little extra cash you can for sure get a trusted brand with stable OS too.

I agree with you on battery life. When i was back to read the review posted at pandawill forum. I found no any words about battery life. Actually it is a very important information people need to know.

I now have the Venus pad 3.2 and am starting to use it today - however, there is no android market on it - quite a disappointment although it is fast and smooth - love it already

They also published the review of this android 3.2 tablet.

The review

But it seems they are not the same one. Anyway, both of them are a little expensive now. Waiting for the price getting cut down..

Ive been searching aliexpress lately and found the venus pad for as low as $75 dollars each... you had to order 3 but its still pretty freakin cheap...
the cheapest single one I could find was $118 with free shipping!
I might just get one in a few months when I have some spare cash

I had had some bad experience with Aliexpress's extreme cheap stuff. Is your source safe? You better look out.

I had never saw tablet which operate with 3.2 but recently I'm just got one operate with 3.0UI with processor ARM7. Already try it, It's quite very fast and easy to connect with wifi which the same model (inside) cann't do that. It's came from China. Is anyone had any idea that how much I want to upgrade the old one which inside is the same processor to operate like that, but I can't do anything with it. Any suggestion?

It's just running on Android 2.3.x and 3.0 UI means just 3.0 User Interface! It looks like Honeycomb but is Gingerbread. Don't know could easy been updated to 3.x?!
