Anyone have a working inbuilt 3g version of the T9? I received mine from Merimobiles about 5 days ago but my sim card doesn't click into the sim card slot. It just pops back out. I found a picture on alibaba showing the way to stick it in, but still no luck in getting the damn thing to click ito place. Other than this, and the mic not working it's great, but i primarily bought this for the 3g capability. Anyone else having the same problem?

It can be a bit tricky to get the sim in, you have to push it in a fair way to get it to seat. I did it on mine but I don't have the 3G module in it so I couldn't tell if it worked or not, but the sim definitely seated properly.

Cheers Nonz. Thanks for the swift response. I have tried pretty much everything to get it as far in and sit, tweezers, paperclips etc, but the damn thing just pops back out! Could you confirm if it was inserted in the same way as in the picture on the link: http://www.aliexpres...ive-Tablet.html
? If you scroll down half way (ish) there's a picture with the sim inserted. Was this the way you managed to get it in?

Cheers, I'm still waiting for Merimobiles to respond, but hopefully I can get this sorted beforehand.

Yewp, me too. I told Merimobiles but they said it should be working. I tried downloading a few microphone based apps (sound recorders, Talking tomcat) but it doesn't register anything. Which version of android are you on? 2.2 or 2.3? Also, which firmware are you on?

I hope I can get the sim and mic sorted, as I love this tablet, but if I can't chat with anyone or use it as a 3g module then I'm a bit miffed.

[1] Did you pay the extra $60 for 3G? 3G is optional and you have to pay extra for that model.
[2] You can try newer firmware to see if that fixes microphone. Tablet maker calls it M728 & not T9.

Use Google Translate if you do not speak Chinese.

Cheers for all the comments. Yes, as far as I'm aware, I did pay extra for the 3g version as it came to about £180 for the tablet + delivery, and according to Merimob's it's 120 for the regular version. So I managed to get the sim in to sit, but it's currently not connecting to any 3g. To be fair, MM'iles said they would email the manufacturer and see what the issue is with both and see if it can be fixed.

According to Merimobiles, there will also be a better 2.3 firmware released mid September, so I'll hold out for that one before upgrading it. All in all, I LOVE this tablet - just need the mic and the 3g and I'll be one seriously happy customer. The main benefit for me is that I actually work in China at the mo, so if I need to send it back, it's not that much of a hassle. I'm just glad I don't live in Shenzhen (where pretty much all these tablets are made) or else I'd be seriosuly broke.

Thanks!

I'm fairly sure the picture of the sim in that link is backwards, I put the bevelled end in first.

Also I think the 1080P is a bit optimistic, but then I still haven't figured out why people would want to play a movie that's a higher resolution than their screen.

Mine also doesn't have "Mouth Touch".

No Multi touch? Really? I didn't think there was a 'non multi touch' version. I was under the impression multi touch was pinch and zoom, and using more than 1 finger - I may be wrong though. Mine seems to recognise 5 touches at the same time.
