If I'm reading right there are two screens: an outer and an inner.
How can you tell if all you need is an outside screen or if you need an outside and an inside screen?
Mine was functional (though out of calibration) for a short time after the damage. However, now, it discplays an image, but won't allow me to swipe and get into android. Any suggestions? Thanks.

As I understand it the inner screen is the actual lcd which produces the image. The outer screen is the touch screen piece. If you see an image, your inner screen should be fine I believe. I dropped a tablet once and had my son click exceedingly hard on a match card game so I have replaced two myself and both times it was just the touchscreen that broke. The lcd was fine.

The old glass requires quite a bit of pulling to get it off. To be safe wear some gloves as it will likely break when trying to remove the glass.

The only thing I might add is to trace the edges of the broken glass with a pencil before taking it off. That way you know exactly where to place the new piece of glass.

Hi, I'm new here but I needed a new screen and got one from McBuB for $20.00 USD. Worked out about £13.00 sterling. It fitted perfectly and works just great. Heres the link below

Hi,
I have a friends HeroTab here with a broken screen. The LCD is smashed including the top glass layer. There is also a thin adhesive touch screen layer on top of that. Can someone please confirm if the linked screen includes everything I need to replace the broken LCD? If not, can anyone point me in the right direction please?
Thanks

I've separated the touch screen from the LCD panel and only the LCD panel is damaged. Please can anyone advise where I can purchase a replacement LCD panel from please?

If the top layer is cracked you need to replace the touchscreen also. Is it resistive or capacitive?
