Would also love to exchange OS from 2.0 to 2.2 so I can download and install Adobe Flash.
Any one have instructions for newbie, ME. to walk me thru process?
All help will be gratefully appreciated.

This only apples to the Cruz T103/4/5 series and the T301.

Ah, thanks for pointing that out, I had not yet realized they had different T/R model numbers :\
(so close to each other in the alphabet, although it makes plenty of sense.)

The best luck I have had with videos on a stock reader (not rooted) is using the SkyFire browser v2.3. In order to view videos in their later versions (they are at 4.x now) you have to pay. I would have no problem with that (I think it is only $3 or so), but they only accept payment via the Google Android market. With a stock Cruz, you can't access that.

Another way I have had some success is using one of the YouTube downloaders that has an option to play without saving. It is kind of a pain to do that, because what I have to do is copy the YouTube URL from the browser and paste it into the search screen of the downloader. It's only for YouTube though.

Has anyone tried getting the T103 2.2 firmware, going through it, and finding out if it can infact be tweaked to work on a R101/2/3?

I think the main reason we shouldn't hold our breath for getting 2.2 for the R103 is the meager 256Mb main RAM in the rig.

I could be 100% wrong (and pray I am), but I just don't think there will be any RAM left for apps after the bigger 2.2 footprint. Hell, it can't even run a decent number of regular apps even with 2.0.

Has anyone heard of 2.2 running on any other similarly small rig?

<< Edited >>

Did I see right? The T103 also only has 256Mb RAM, but IT has 2.2?

sometimes you can flash one of these tablets to 2.2, but it will be very feature lacking, I found that out with my Cruz T103
