Can anyone identify this tablet? It says MID on the back cover.

The "about device" says:
Model number: WonderMedia WM8650
Android version: 2.2
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-default
Build number: generic-eng2.2 Froyo Ver1.5.1-20110708.055253

I'd like to change the ROM to one of the much better ROM's I read about on this sight but I'm new at this. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Senior_Citizen: You might want to check the "MID V7" forum. One of those ROMS sounds more like yours.

It's also knows as Slimpad or Netpad11, they only start selling them in July 2011.
It look the same like the others but diffrent esspecially the location of the front cam and the two circle button.

13 - works (touchscreen, screen calibration, wifi, ) no sound, never wakes up after hibernation.
2 - Touch Screen not working
21 - Touch Screen haywire
22 - Touch Screen haywire

Testing with modroid 8 on 26/8

I've retry Modroid 9 and select option 7.
since the sound and wifi works.
the screen goes haywire. but you should press various location and try to remember the response and alignment.
Base on the response try press the setting button.

once you get into the setting menu. experiment with the display again. if you got it wrong press the back button (physical arrow button on the right)
try to scroll down and press touchpanel calibration.
as soon as you do calibration you problem is solved.

I have the exact same tablet and have found nothing that works thus far. I'm working on Modroid v9 LITE now. I tried Uberoid v5 and Modroid on option 8 with limited success. Essentially the touchscreen works but is more or less random. I'm going to keep trying different ones, but without knowing which model I have I have little hope.

Alright guys I've been doing a lot of work on this today and I have a mostly complete tablet.

Install Uberoid V5 found here using option 13.

The only problem I've had with it is the lack of sound. Touchpad, gravity sensor, WiFi, camera, everything works. As far as sound goes, I just did an experiment and the speakers work when headphones are inserted into the device. Not even the entire jack needs to be inserted, just the first little bit. No word yet on if headphones will work with it. IDK if this can be addressed in a future release of uberoid, or if one just sticks a little tin foil or something into the headphone jack to make them work.

At first I tried Modroid with option 13 but the gravity sensor was malfunctioning and made it unusable. I found no evidence that it doesn't boot right up after hibernation.
Here's Proof

Senior Guy -

I have a similar WM8650 minus the camera on the back side of the tablet, and no labels on the back.

WM8650
Android ver: 2.2
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9-default
Build number: generic-eng 2.2 Froyo Ver 1.3.1 - 20110602.023938

I can't access any market place, and wondering if I need to upload a new version so I can get this to work. BTW- this is my first android tablet, so this is all new to me.

Any help would be great.
Thanks!

Can you post pictures of the tablet ? It is not the same one we have generic-eng2.2 Froyo Ver1.5.1-20110708.055253 not 1.3.1
Post pictures and then we can see what procedures you must make for the real Market.

Here is the tablet. I can try to get better shots later on tonight, but this is from my camera phone. I got it for free, so I'm just trying to make the best of what I have right not.

For me it look like an Eken M009S or an equvalent one you can download a ROM (Uberoid,Singularty) an install it to get the Android market, Flash and much better performance.

I seem to have a similar tablet, but it says Vestinious M009s 1.3.6 Rebuild 2.2 FroyoVer 1.3.0

Does this mean it has been flashed by the previous owner?

Mine looks like this epad exactly but I cannot access it as my future son-in-law tried to update the firmware with something from zenithink which won't load properly and now I cannot access anything on it. I am trying to find new firmware for it to reinstall it to try to fix it. New to this stuff unfortunately.
