Yes thanks - backlight goes off on time out. I am having touch screen problems at the moment (from before doing the zImage). I am flashing back to 0603 with your zImage (clean the lot) to see if it cures it. It seems the touch screen is working because it works in the screen calibration tool, just not on the rest which is odd.

/* Edit */ Touch screen sorted with complete update (system included.) Oddly though I can't get my external WIFI (8192) to work. It doesn't recognise it like it used to. going to reflash zImage in case its something I've done tinkering with settings and give it another go.

/* Edit 2 */ Nope external WIFI isn't working for me. I've removed the redundant internal WIFI as it was dead, external was working before zImage. Time for me to get out the Linux!

ATP Can we upload to github for inclusion in the kernel?

Which external wifi do you have? I thought that it just works the wifi usb with the same ralink chip that there is in the internal wifi.
ANd the only thing that was missing was the 3G driver.

Hi Merlot, I have a 8192 chipset. File I used previously was a 8192cu.ko from the May update ftp @ zenithink. Which contained an empty file "Update_System_Module" and the driver under \system\lib\modules\8192cu.ko.

I had issues before in that I had to turn on the tablet with the external device out, plug it in when it was on and then turn on Wifi, I assumed that was just because it was external.

Have tried several times to get right RALink 2070 and 3070 chipset external wifi but despite advertised claims they are usually more up to date. Got fed up sending them back! Currently I have the 8192 and the RALINK3370. 8192 is tiny and has a great range when it works.

Hello.

I'm using the 6.03 firmware, but I'd like to use netfilter(iptables) to use droidwall, can anybody compiles teh module for me? I'm not very used to (cross)compile linux kernel.

Using the v1 version

Thanks in advance

I am wanting to combine all mtdblock partitions into 1 so that I can put full linux distro in nand but I have some questions if someone can provide answers it would be much appreciated.

/proc/mtd states:
dev:    size   erasesize  name
mtd0: 10000000 00080000 "system"
mtd1: 40000000 00080000 "userdata"
mtd2: 06000000 00080000 "cache"
mtd3: 21000000 00080000 "Local-disk"

What is contained in these 4 partitions? Is the kernel stored in one of these? Is the bootloader in this also?

My plan is to modify the imapx200 nand driver (drivers/mtd/nand/imapx200.c) to reflect 1 partition for linux rootfs but I do not want to destroy bootloader or kernel partitions in nand.

Kernel and bootloader is outside from these partitions.

i can offer the datasheet. When i finish to convert the encrypt pdf some days.

there's no next version planned, but i think the source will be open step by step, then you can download the android and build modify it yourself.

atp_uestc: could you put on ftp the config files for openocd (if any)?
Im trying to adapt the sources for kernel 3.0.4. and stuck on
"Uncompressing Linux... done, booting the kernel."

You need to adapt serial driver IMHO.

I dont modify the serial driver, he is compiling w/o errors.
But many changes has needed for timer and irq.

I took default config for B0_1024x576 and number of serial port should be the same.

I complete newbie with JTAG and gdb, but it is very interesting. :)

Yes.

OK, I could achieve stopping of execution in the gdb.
Here is my files for openocd.
telnet_port 4444
source [find interface/jlink.cfg]
source [find target/epad.cfg]
jtag_nsrst_delay 500
jtag_ntrst_delay 500
arm11 memwrite burst disable
gdb_memory_map disable

epad.cfg (based on SMDK6410)
if { [info exists CHIPNAME] } {
   set  _CHIPNAME $CHIPNAME
} else {
   set  _CHIPNAME imapx200
}

if { [info exists ENDIAN] } {
   set  _ENDIAN $ENDIAN
} else {
  # this defaults to a bigendian
   set  _ENDIAN little
}

if { [info exists CPUTAPID ] } {
   set _CPUTAPID $CPUTAPID
} else {
  # force an error till we get a good number
   set _CPUTAPID 0x07b36477
}
#jtag scan chain
jtag newtap $_CHIPNAME cpu     -irlen 5 -ircapture 0x1 -irmask 0x1f -expected-id $_CPUTAPID
set _TARGETNAME $_CHIPNAME.cpu
target create $_TARGETNAME arm11 -endian $_ENDIAN  -chain-position $_TARGETNAME -variant arm1176
adapter_nsrst_delay 500
jtag_ntrst_delay 500
#reset configuration
reset_config trst_and_srst

alif, probably, you are right:
printk(KERN_NOTICE "%s", linux_banner); from start_kernel is executed but nothing show in the gtkterm.
