That does not look to be the same as the midV8 from merimobiles. Where did you get it from? I can probably help identify it but will need more images, an image of the front is good.

In the meantime try using uberoid V7 from http://techknow.freeforums.org/ and try all of the 8 inch options in the "CHANGER" file. chances are one of them will work.

cheers!

Hopefully this can help those that are just starting out on Android and maybe provide a couple tricks to others.

I did get my MID V8... just haven't had time for the review yet...
I hope to do it tomorrow, but we will see.

It is essentially the exact same as the MID V7, just in an 8" form.
All of the ROMS appears to work after minor tweaks/swaps of the ENV_BOOT file and adding a Wifi.ko file.

Wifi Signal is fine... I thinkt he MID816 is probably a bit stronger, but nothing that would really matter.

Physically it is a nice little device... the thinnest tablet I have seen so far.
Only has power, volume, and a back button...
So installing a ROM with ROOT and Button Savior is helpful to have access to menu and home buttons.

Sorry to be a pain in the butt, but i'm gonna ask anyway. Which one would you reccomend ? I dont need it to be the newest, fastest, best etc, i just want the tablet to live, and get the kindle app and the proper market. At the moment i have a nice paperweight LOL

One question mr Tasselhoff. next week i'm going to order a mid V8 android 2.2 via vm8650.
I have downloaded your last version. so when I get this tablet, I can just flash with your
Verison? don't need changer.bat to run this, because you make the 7 for the 8.
being new, older (white hair) it's not going to get better. right. thanks for your time.
