My solution so far has been to copy them into the internal MicroSD card. Here so far I did not experience this problem.
Does anyone have an alternative solution to it ?
Regards,
JAS
Actually, I'm using the very latest official firmware and yes, it's still deleting occassionally from the SD card. So far just JPG's, but, I've had AVI's also deleted. I suspect that powering down isn't closing the SD properly and remounting/preparing is deleting files that were still open on shutdown. The reason I suspect this is that it always seems to be the images/movies I was last looking/watching on shutdown that get deleted.
Certainly sounds like a firmware issue.
I'm thinking of trying to kill apps before shutdown and see if the problem goes away.

Hello,
Maybe i have a solution,
When you put an external mico sd card in a Lost Dir folder will be created on the external card. Copy your files to this folder and give the folder another name if you wish. When you boot up your device will again create a new Lost Dir folder. Untill now my photo and videofiles do not dissapear anymore. In my opinion this could be a solution.I do not say this is the solution but it could be a solution until a firmware upgrade.
Greetings, tabus.

I haven't found a pdf manual for MID816r2 in the web. I think there is no pdf manual because even the original manual is a shi....very bad. I think It's a translation from chinese to english using the google translate, so Imagine the quality.
I suggest you try a bit with the tablet and see that it is very simple to use.
Best regards.

I had the same one with mkv files, but not with mp4 or jpg files.
I recomend you to use the vital player app to view films, better even than rock player app for me.
If you solve the problem, please, advise me.
Thanks.

**MUST HAVE ROOT ACCESS**
Open Root Explorer
- Open System folder
- Press and hold the "build.prop" file until dialog pops up and scroll down to "Edit with Text Editor"
- Scroll down about halfway and change the dpi from 200 to 180 (going to 160 mucks up the notification bar)
- When finished, hit the menu button and select "Save and Exit"
Hold Power button to shutdown and restart or shut down via the dialog
Boot up the tablet, wait for everything to load up
Then hold Menu button until calibration shows up
- Calibrate normally
Reboot again
All set!
The easiest way is to have ROOT access.
Open Root Explorer App
Browse to /system/app
I renamed all of the following in a similar fashion... I added Old to the front to keep them together... and .old after apk to rename the file so the system couldn't use it. (ex. Bluetooth.apk = OldBluetooth.apk.old)
Bluetooth.apk
Network3gMonitor.apk
Phone.apk (will require an immediate hard shut down and reboot after being renamed)
Provision.apk
shortcut3g.apk
TelephonyProvider.apk
VpnServices.apk
Hope that helps!
