Well it appears you have some sort of ZT-180 v2, but not sure which one with the information you gave. You are on ROM 0312 right now.

The contents of your zt-update folder is a complete mess. The ZT_Bx.* files are for the original 10" ZT-180, not your v2. Also the *.img files are for really old ROMs for the original 10" ZT-180 tablet also to be burned via burntool over usb, again, not for your v2 tablet.....

You have to figure out which v2 board is in your tablet, a G0 (blue in color and has 512MB RAM), G1 (green in color and has 256MB RAM), or G2 (green in color and has 512MB RAM), then we can help you figure out which files should be in your zt-update folder (if you are looking to update your tablet).....

Hello I'm unable to flash it that is the problem.

Which rom and from where should i use.

I have tried the wire method but the burntool device 10 donot goes to color green, as im unable to install the driver cause my windows don't recognize it until it is fully turned on.

using the sd card method but that fails too, please help.

ZT-180 v2 tablets only use sdcard method to flash/update the ROM, the usb burntool was for the original 10" ZT-180 and for very old ROMs, it is no longer supported by Zenithink......

As I said in my last reply, we need to know what version of the v2 tablet you have in order to tell what ROM you should install and from where you can download it from.

I am guessing you have a G2 tablet, in that case, I would recommend installing this ROM - http://www.zenithink...ownews_199.html (Download link - http://www.zenithink...12_2GB_0613.rar)

Download the file, uncompress it, and put all the files (boot.logo, data.tar.bz, system.tar.bz, usr.tar.bz, zImage, zImage_adb, zImage_factory, zImage_ums, zImage_update, and ZT_G2.spl) on your "real"/external sdcard in a folder named zt-update. Put the sdcard in your tablet, turn it on and then press the left volume/toggle key, when asked to flash the spl, press the round button in front, then the rest it should do by itself and reboot to the new ROM.....

For your version of the tablet, I don't think so, but you can always check out the ZT-180 v2 Forum..... The 0730 is for "F" model tablets (IC reset removed for longer battery life), and the 0808 is only for tabets with 0808 in their model number (different audio chip)......

Hello. I was advised to mail for you.
I have a Zenithink (ZT-180) PAD looping at "ANDROID _".
People on slateroid said i have an unusual serial number device (ZT180102ASRTA0425S6G), concluding the firmware update problem. As an advise, a trick with
4 empty SPL files was used. It sad i have a G2 version. My topic was here (http://www.slatedroi...-flashing-roms/)
Combining the firmwares, my tablet didn't manage to work.

When I turn on my ZT-180 I see the "EPAD" logol and at the bottom it'll say "HOMEupdate RIGHT switch" and then quickly flash "start system 'Android mass storage' " it seems like my OS is screwy somehow and I'm not sure how to get her working again. I couldn't get the info on it but I CAN give what I got on the box if it helps.

TF card slot ( guessing that means micro SD because thats the only car slot i can find )

Now if i hold the "Home" button and power button, i get a prompt that seems like I could get some files of some sort, put em on my SD card and possibly get this creature up and kicking again. Or I could be completly wrong.... Ideas?

WARRNING: REMOVE SDCARD BEFORE OPENING CASE if you do not remove the sdcard you could break it in half. I know because i forgot and guess what sdcards are all shinny inside.
Note: if you do not feel comfortable opening your tablet we will try to work around this information but it really really does help if you have this information.
Any Rom's (Firmware) you have Flashed or tried to flash onto your ZT-180 and where they came from (links to the site you downloaded from would be good)
ZT-UPDATE Folder contents a detailed list of the files in this folder and where they came from (links to the site you downloaded from would be good)

Always remember we are not mind readers and we can not work magic or see your ZT-180 through our crystal ball, we are users just like you that have had some of the same problems as you are having and through the help of others in this and other fourms have over come them and just wish to help others enjoy there ZT-180.
Also please do not post your questions here please post them in there respective fourms with as much information as you can get about the device and the problem.

Bad Example:
I flashed a rom and now my wifi will not work (This is not good and it will not get you much help at least right away because we will end up asking you most of the questions above and taking up a lot of your time and ours as it sometimes takes hours or even days to get a response to a post.

Good Example:
I have a ZT-180 V2 with a green version 2.3 Jade pcb with 404gb ram and 439mb internal storage (i got this info from Android System Info) and i flashed rome 0603 from the ftp site and here is what files i put in the zt-update folder and the folders i got them from ......nice list of files....... and i can not get the wifi to work right please help...

Also reading is your friend when doing something like this so please read the wiki Link ( http://www.slatedroi...Wiki:ZT-180_FAQ ) and read through the forums because there maybe already and answer to your question waiting there for you which may save you time in the long run because as i said above it sometimes takes hours or even days for someone to respond to your post, again we are just users like you who have jobs and have to sleep sometimes we are not Tech support for Zenithink although some of the members here are Tech's from Zenithink and other members talk with them on a regular basis, so even some of what seem to be the hardest problems just might get solved with the righ information for you.

Last but not least if your problem does get solved please feel free to tell everyone about it in as much detail as you can maybe it will help someone else. Thank you for taking time to read this and i hope in some way it helps you find the answer to your problem.

Hi there,
I bought an used ZT-180 V1.
Sometimes the device loose WIFI Connection.
I like to flash another firmware.
Actual is 0425.

After 2 days with try and error I need help.

I copied Abtekks 3.5 Custom Rom on the 8GB SD Card.
After rebooting the zimage-update is found, but there is an error.

"Image too small for FAT32"

I cant use the USB Burntool, because I have no Win 32 Bit.

Any ideas?

I bought my slate from Cyber City - an "IT emporium" in Shanghai - after attempting without successto buy one in Beijing (where absolutely everything sported a fake "Apple" logo, and the clueless assistants actually BELIEVED that the Android devices they were selling were "genuine Apple products" I wanted a genuine ANDROID product - specifically the (then) new ZT180- , which just confused them.) I bought the machine in late October of 2010, which (I think?!) makes me a fairly "early adopter". One thing that surprises me is that how much a ZT-180 costs TODAY - in 2012 - isn't much different to how much I paid in 2010, which was the Yuan equivalent of about £110.

(plus any other information that you think I might need) By the way.... right from day 1, the WiFi performance has been absolutely dreadful. Now that my mobile phone can act as a WiFi hotspot, improving performance would be something worth havingI'd like to add ClockWorkMod as well... is there a ZT180 version?
